    So funny.
    > GWF with Lostmauth
"I DONT WANNA NERF ON LOSTMAUTH, STFU I WANNA OLD CW's STORMSPELL FOR FREE".
    > SW with Lostmauth
"GTFO scrubs, ITS ONLY ONE VIABLE SET TO USE THIS WITH WARLOCK BARGAIN".

And many, many things like this why ppls dont wanna nerf on this. Just give Lostmauth to non-crit DoT what can be buffed by Combat Advantage like current Stormspell.

the most stupid change ? leave the proc crit ---> cw happy + no great coding changes
BUT the value of the damage can only be buffed by external buff/debuffs.
we already have this mechanic implemented in shadowy opportunity for trs.

let the damage be whatever is going to be, but not with your own buffs.

and here we left the damage more or less unchanged for sw-hr, a bit nerfed for trs, heavily nerfed for gwfs, the cheese stays for cws which arguably are the most in need of it.

So an adjustment to a game mechanic, the eLoL Set Bonus, will be left up to a 'popular vote on the Forums' from the players who frequent the Forums (which is a small percentage of the players themselves)...

Honestly, I can barely believe it and I am stunned.

That being said, I voted 'Yes' because it is obviously broken. No one argues that, and if you do you need a reality check! :)

IF it's not fixed, then other artifact sets MUST be looked into to balance things out...

It's simple logic, someone start using it please.

Why nerf? Anybody can own it. It's cheaper then it ever was.
What is the unfair advantage when it's available to everybody?
It's good but not game-breaking. There is much MUCH bigger issues that need attention then this. Bugs, content, grind, lag, spam. Focus on what needs focus.

Leave it. When NWO applies 'balancing', they often to more harm then good.
I'm not even DPS and I say leave it alone.

Personally, I'm actually most concerned about the effect on SW spark building if they remove the ability to crit. That would really be a huge nerf to PvP SWs.

One thing: "Hardly" actually means "very little".
like i said, its ok if it continues to crit if some builds are heavily based on this mechanic but for what concerns the damage, it should not be boosted by personal buffs (exactly like shadowy opportunity isnt affected by power or feats but only party wide buffs/debuffs).

    thanks for the correction

We balance classes arround a broken set??
Seriously Cryptic, that´s nothing to vote for, that´s a needed fix since long.
Vote for an obvious broken/bugged setbonus to stay in game? Never experienced something like this.

lolset deals tons of courious stuff like:
    1. endless damageslopes between warlock and Paladins in PVP , in the sum effects like this leeds to massive lags
    2. it also interacts with weapondamage from most classes:
sometimes setbonus is buffed like this (taht´s no 6% more 30%)

and sometimes like this >50% from weapondamage being buffed

    3. some classes rely on that setbouns dealing >30% from overall damage by that weapon set

IT HAS TO BE FIXED !! Like lot´s of more stuff, but this one has the bigggest effect on the hole game atm

Why would you nerf a good working item?
You people got to stop whining on everything you see!!!
There will be always godlike players that have the maximum level and gear, that doesnt mean the game its bad or its overpower!!

Can we please, please, please stop calling it a nerf. All we want is for it to behave according to tool tip.. It would be a fix. Obviously it's not working as initially intended, no matter what anyone says, or the tooltip would have reflected that from the beginning. Just like many other things in this game, the tooltip is totally wrong and incongruent with actual behavior. If you want it the same and the others buffed, which I disagree with because of power creep, but is not unreasonable, please at least change the tooltip on this and many other things to be accurate.

the question is how you intend to nerf it ?
the easy fix is to make it fo what the tooltip says : " an additional weapon hit" , not a buffed additional weapon hit !

I need to back kolat up on this. There is obviously no way that a rational decision can be made by players (as evidenced by posts on both sides of the arguement).

Leaving a game balance decision to popular opinion is obscene in every sense of the word. Players don't get to make decisions for the game for exactly this threading reason

Having a set like lostmauth in the game makes releasing new upgradable content next to impossible. How can we have gear progression when we got superpowers the moment lostmauth set was released?

you know its broken, just check the pull result

everyone in the game invested in that set, with no exception and still that set is so broken we succeded to reach a 38% of YES to the nerf request.
i know we live in the democracy but half or more of the NO in this thread are fully biased and devs should consider this.

38% of people spending money on this set are ok to reduce its effectiveness.

Forum goers are a very small percentage of the game's playerbase. It would be unwise to make game mechanic changes based on a forum poll.

    A world of NO.

prolonging the grind of so much sterile content seems quiet absurd.

every mmo has forums, every one.. if you dont want to participate in that part of the community, you pretty much leave a lot of it up to everyone else.

Im sorry but that argument holds zero weight to me.

This is where we can actively participate in real feedback. facebook and twitter are really social media outlets, not feedback response areas.

So where exactly are they supposed to generate feedback from?

The % of people who dont know that every mmo has a forum section is like.. 5% maybe of players. if 15% of us feedback on forums its a range that depicts enough of averages to give a feedback curve.

I really dont count people who log in once every 2-3 weeks as people who need feedback, thats more then casual. Casual people maybe play a hour a day to unwind.

then you have people who play 2-3-4 hours plus.. then others who play 8 hours plus.. a happy segment is to find those playing mostly every day to give feedback and have it as cross section, try to make as many of that cross section happy as possible, without going nuts.

I'm aware that every MMO has forums and that is a good place for devs to get feedback. But only 222 people have actually voted in this poll. Does that accurately represent the playerbase? If they are going to use a poll for this, it needs to encompass more than the forum goers. An announcement on log in directing them here would be fine.

Nowhere in the poll does it ask whether people who are voting currently own the set. 38% of the people who have voted have voted in favour of nerfing/changing it/fixing it. That is not the same as '38% of the people spending money on this set'. 62% of the people who have voted have voted against changing it. Again, that doesn't mean they all own it.

Small aside, at time of writing the figures are actually 37% Yes to 62% No. Anyone care to speculate on the opinion of the missing 1% :)

Most of the people who've voted that it should be balanced are very good players, many of them do have BiS equipment themselves, many of them do use the Lostmauth set.

And they see how problematic it is.

I was thinking about writing a post about how a lot of the "no" votes are backed up with personal reasons, and the "yes" votes with game balance reasons, but @macjae beat me to it.

If it is not going to be nerfed, the attribute points should change to fit each class. CWs wearing a belt without Int or Charisma is not rational even in the Forgotten Realms.

CWs use all that extra strength and dexterity to stroke their horn properly.

it's common for the missing 1% to not be there.
for example for the elections they remove the 1% so it wont end up having a TIE, ending up with 2 presidents or 2 mayors. Got that?
    It's just rounding down ...

It should be ~37.7 and ~62.3.

I voted "yes" and I am a BIS 4K CW. I have the set. My damage would be drastically reduced without it. I am willing to pull back the veil so that NW Cryptic can see the true state of the CW in hopes that they will balance the class and add back some much needed damage. Without an LOL nerf, this will NEVER happen.

Yes, "nerf" it back to its tooltip. Set bonuses are not supposed to be 30% of our damage.

I agree with you... excepting that I'm not ready to suggest that CWs are broken. I main a Trapper, which in my estimate is about on par with CWs (compared to other classes). I don't feel like my under-loved class is broken. I wouldn't ask that Cryptic make it easier to play. I'd suggest instead that the classes which can both take and give (at the same time) 2x our damage might need to be brought back to reality.
