  give it another week or 2 till people figure out that all this new module introduced is more grind and more grind and more grind hidden behind artificial gates.

  a) it's daily/weekly peak count in the longer timescale graphs.
  b) it's already going down again.
  c) the peak is lower than the last one after Strongholds release.
  d) the time players stay online figures a lot in there, too - and with that new helping of infiniGrind(TM), many people will grind through that heap and then drop down to their old pattern... ...as soon as these players have their new shinies, the peak will have vanished, and the underlying baseline decrease will become apparent again.

  New mod, however poor, means loads of announcements on MMO and gaming sites. People are going to have a look. Then they'll log out and not return and the numbers will carry on falling.

  After two weeks.... The same boring stuff.
  After the hypes in October and September where big expectations were created, it's already a nutshell. They are already paying the price of the gap between the expectations what we have today.
