Stuff I know now...

...that I wish I knew then!

For me, leveling leadership thinking I would be rolling in free AD...only to find out much later, I could have been leveling almost anything else faster and more return on time invested.

I am sure there are a lot of shoulda woulda coulda's out there...what's yours?

Leadership pre or post RAD's removal is the obvious so i'll go with playing for nearly 6 months with my standard mount. The 110% movement speed bonus of an epic mount simply can't be understated.....

This times a 1000....considering the length of time it took to obtain enough linus favors to obtain a single piece of draconic templar gear it's gut wrenching to have to salvage them for a few thousand RAD's...ESPECIALLY considering how rare it has become to even get in a full 25 person group in tiamat, much less one capable of winning

-Buying my offhand during the grind from 60-70 comes to mind (although, from in-game content, it was not knowable prior).
-Would never have sold any dragon egg I ever got
-Never, ever, make an armor, jewel augmentation item for they will introduce new BIS gear 20 minutes later.
-Leadership (of course).
-Should never have purchased any GMO(X) in MOD5

1.) Why did you waste favors on Templar gear in the 1st place? I got all mine from beating Tiamat. Plus extras for salvage!

2.) There were threads upon threads telling us all NOT to invest in leadership when this game first game out. So that is just very poor decision making on your part. I read those, and stayed away from leadership. Thus I increased other professions and I am rolling in AD due to selling all the shirts/pants.

3.) There is nothing wrong with a standard mount. You don't NEED a fast mount for anything in this game. Its a grind game anyway, what's a few more seconds on a slower mount.

1000% agree about the purchase of Greater Potency prior to the change...but to be fair, no one knew it was coming.

I didn't know anyway.

Logical reasoning should have indicated that since they changed to Greater Mark on PC, that it was going to happen on Xbox. That's just another reason not to invest too much into the game, because it will change all the time.

I totally forgot that one! I discovered that I was missing a bag after reading something online and went back to get it at like level 5 overflow past 60.

Un-equipping and re-equipping Dragon Cult Pack bag after mod 6 shipped which made it bound and not tradeable.
Buying an Epic mount from AH only to find out that Zen Market ones are account-wide.
Buying a cloak with a utility slot for Azure for my new toon only to find that it can't wear it till level 60.
Buying a Preservation Ward of the AH while these could be bought cheaper in Zen Market.
Buying Dungeons Keys and various marks for the vendor instead of AH.
Buying 4 Greater Enchantment shards only to find out it has 1% upgrade chance.
Opening a lot of Companion Fortification Kits hoping to get some Companion Upgrade Token (never found any).
Buying 200 Pinatas and then realizing that they have a 90 s cool down time between opening new ones.

Spending hundred's of dollars on a game that would get boring because i don't have enough time to play and keep up.

No matter if the game was the best game in the world it would still be a bad move to be fair... No game is worth more than 150$ ... unless there some physical objects to go along like a statue or something, and still... they prey on our fanboyisme when they do that.

Personally of course the leadership thing.... :/ (thinking about it depress me)
If i knew about that TOD campaign earlier i would had lev it faster so by MOD6 it would had been completed and all, instead of being delayed again on the well of dragon thing...

Well, $60 is a fair price for a game

MMOs are just different as the content is always being added to and evolving (and in NWs case, free). Playing one is more akin to having a hobby; one that is enhanced with purchases over time (buying a new model airplane if that helps complete the analogy). That is how I look at it anyhow.

I have a few... you can click on a stack of Identify Scrolls and then click on each unidentified item making it much quicker to do in bulk.

VIP can invocate anywhere... took me days and days to realise I did not have to run to a campfire on auto-pilot or use an item.

You can see a mimic before opening it just by looking at it with your cross-hairs. A bag means a real chest, no bag is a mimic.

Wish I had not spent a fair bit of early AD on levelling up Rank 1-4 Runes.

Buying my off-hand from WoD for Linu`s not realising you get one anyway.

Not to use refinement stones unless its during a Double Refinement Event.

Not to salvage anything unless its during a Double AD Event.

I also wish I had levelled up my Alt`s during the last few Double Exp Events for those lovely Sigil's.

^^^^exactly!

I know I spent too much...but over time, less expensive than new games every couple weeks as I am exclusively playing this one.

Also...I wished I saved my HE rewards from WOD way earlier before mod 6 dropped. I saved about 150 and i had soooo many resonance stones for last DRP.

If you live in fear of avoiding things that will be changed or made obsolete you might as well quit now. Unless you have inside information about whats coming, you are always going to waste time doing X only for it to be replaced with Y later.

Happened the same way coincidentally at 2x RP as well on PC from what I have read....hmmmmm

I honestly do not understand why people always seem so shocked that a company making a free to play game do sly little things to earn some extra cash... fine by me as it means more free content in the future for me to play around with :)

some of the things listed could have been avoided by heeding the warnings of the PC players.

the lack of information or the abundance of misinformation(tool tips) is strong in this game. we are spoiled right now... once we are on par with the PC version, it will be ugly, lol. but at least we have an idea of how the devs think... proceed with caution.

Having transcendent enchantments , having a 3400 item, playing 2000 hours. All for nothing this game stinks and is so boring

All games get boring if you play them long enough. Take a few months off then come back

If you spent 2000 hours playing a game you don't like, what does that say about you?

they actually hinted at nerfing leadership like 3 months ago.. but you would only know that if you followed the pc side of neverwinter :)

i know this, because i remember talking to a guy who made like 20 characters to farm leadership during mod 5 and he was so excited that in like a few weeks he will have them all ready and the fruits of his labor will flourish. then i was telling him that leadership is probably going to get nerfed. then he was lecturing me about pc having bots and we are xbox so we are different blah blah. i was then telling him that we get everything the pc gets and then he proceeded to call me an idiot. now whos the idiot HAMSTER boy :)

now what did i wish i knew that i know now.. i wish i knew that nine hell lockboxes were going to get released and then taken away to make that $$$$$

Yeah, I totally dig that. And I wouldn't mind spending a few bucks every month, but the issues the game currently has plus Cryptic not really worrying about it keeps me from doing it.
