Double AD weekend? or something else...

Ok so this is probably a little premature, but in light of the ongoing server outage, can we get bonus AD somehow to makeup for this lost time?

I haven't been able to log in for the last couple of hours which is primetime playing time Pacific Time. And since AD income is for all intents and purposes tied to online playing time only, I'm effectively prevented from making my daily income that fits my real life schedule.

Just saying.

lol dat reply. This has been going on for the past 2 weeks or so due to a guy / group attacking the server, and we have not gotten anything out of it. There has only been a rollback 1x, so I doubt we'll get anything this time as well. ;o

Technically its FREE TO PLAY for some people. If you paid for a mount you have now constructed a contract with Perfect World/Cryptic to ride that mount in their virtual environment. Now how long that contract remains valid is up for debate.

I'm a casual gamer. This game has decided to employ a specific game mechanic that changes how this game used to play. This is not an entitlement question. The point of my "complaint" is to point out that devs did not consider this scenario when they changed "rules of the game".

Regardless of pay to play or free to play, when I start playing a game, I learn the rules of the game and see if it's a game for me. Do I enjoy it? Does it fit within my regular lifestyle of work, family and house work.

    Those rules were arbitrarily changed.

It's kinda like the IRS arbitrarily changing the rules of taxation - drastically - from a tiered taxation system based on annual income to a flat tax for all levels of income at the same tax rate (eg. everyone pays $10,000 a year regardless of income level...not a percentage based system and not tiered). It would make filing income taxes so much easier...

Given my proposed scenario, I could make the same argument that you just made to everyone protesting this change. You live in a country that you gives you freedom for free. There is no cost to becoming a citizen. You can say what you want and do what you want whenever you feel like it. So everyone who doesn't like this change is just an entitled brat and should go get a real job. (Ok, so my example is based on the fact that I live in the USA).

If you're going to vent (and feel free to), you probably should do a better job at matching your counter arguments or learn how to better identify the "real" question/problem.

    Just saying.

This isn't a rollback scenario. Those only happen to "remove" things that have happened (added to the game content, inventory, etc.).

They have done double AD weekends in the past to compensate for "down" server time.

I'd love a rollback. We could go all the way back to April 6, I believe, and leave it at that. Rule changes around here are a dime a dozen, btw. Pick your rules of the week....

Haha so true, but I was attempting to only talk about 1 topic in this thread.

If you haven't heard, servers are up and running.
