Tested on Preview today with LVL 70. Barkshield absorbs exact same amount as Live even though tooltip shows numbers that are double. See screenshots below.

That said, even if it were working properly the absorbed damage is woefully insufficient for the post mod 6 meta
When something this obvious doesn't match up with what is stated, it makes you question whether the more obscure game mechanics are working as described. Especially now because it seems a lot of the players who used to do careful testing of game mechanics have either quit or no longer bothers to do them anymore

sounds good. Just FYI, it looks like HP will be increasing every mod on our gear. Will you also be updating barkshield every mod? Might save some time if you make the charges % based instead of fixed HP

I was JUST about to say this... I forget what it was last module but HP has easily more than doubled this module. Would be better to just make it X% of your HP. I mean negation is 30% DR with build up. I dont see why BS at MAX (Trans) Shouldnt be something in the ballpark of 20%?
Trans has 4 stacks so it should be 5% of your Max HP. Would synergize well with higher HP characters too. So @ 100k HP it would be:
5000 HP per stack.
THEN it would make some sense and be more of a "front loaded" DR rather than back loaded like negation. Also with all the DoTs and HAMSTER like Avalanche even, Bark ends up not "eating" that much damage anyways....
