Doubt about GWF's Unstoppable

Does unstoppable have an icd? sometime i'm not able to use it even though the bar is fully charged... It happened several times when i'm in combat with other people (ex. on HE), on solo combat seem it works properly

    This is something that has been plaguing GWFs since Mod 6 (I didn't notice it before). In fact, it just happened to me again in IWD.

    It's because you can gain determination by DEALING damage when Destroyer as well. And since there's so much mobs in HE's. You bar fills very quickly (When you don't necessarily have to be hit).

    But the determination gained by dealing damage only does not register. So what you have to do is to TAKE damage then press Tab. Then Unstoppable will pop.

    Take damage? after we get killed by 1 shot theres no point of using unstoppable.

    You wont gain Determination if you have Temporary HP so you have to take damage till its gone. The next best thing is Destroyer with weapon Master strike you should be able to get determination without worrying about losing Temp HP if you are fighting more than one mob. When in doubt bust out that Daring shout.

    I just had a test with "Target Dummy", building determination just dealing dmg... and unstoppable works correctly. So seem only sometime that doesn't register, in that case i think it's a bug. Am i correct?

    Against dummies it works. But somehow outside of that, it messes up.

    So yeah, it is a bug.

    It's a bug, sadly. Happens often enough with HR's/Tankadins preventing you from taking damage from time to time. Only way to get it working is to eliminate your temp HP.

    Nope.. has NOTHING to do with taking damage or temp HP. I tested those theories thoroughly just now while going through IWD.

    The three times I didn't go Unstoppable, I had no temp HP, and at least 90% (a conservative estimate) of my Determination came from a few SOLID hits from dire polar bears.

    The times I was able to go Unstoppable, I had temp HP or no determination from damage, etc.

    The unstoppable not working for me is more frequently now. I noticed that the situation is:

    Full bar of unstoppable + full health + (probably) full temp health

    I am not saying this is the condition or the only condition. It is just my observation recently.

    After I get hit (not in purpose), it appears I can do unstoppable again.

    Basically, if you don't anticipate Unstoppable exactly right, it can be interrupted. It's probably worse if you've got some latency. I only notice mine not going off when I want it to when I was a little late on the trigger and got knocked back or proned first. Then I have to recover from the CC, and then I can trigger Unstoppable, provided I'm not in the process of getting chain-CCed or dead (rare, but it happens).

    In my case, it was not about timing or getting interrupted. Basically, I keep on hitting tab (when my GWF is still hitting with all the numbers flying on the screen), it has no effect. I was only me and that had no latency issue. My GWF stuck in a "condition" that could not do unstoppable until that "condition" changed.

    I haven't seen that, but it sounds very much like occasional tab-skill issues where it gets stuck due to very specific circumstances with powers (has also happened with TR stealth gain).

    If everyone who has this happen could post what powers they use, it might be possible to track down.

    For me, it is WMS, Sure Strike, Darling Shout, IBS and Restoring strike. I don't think that matters because these are pretty generic GWF powers. Daily power is not involved. I did not mention I even intentionally pause for not hitting tab for a while (say 2 seconds) and hit tab again, still did not work.

    Fortunately, the "condition" usually is not in an immediate life threatening situation since everything is full.

    From left to right on my bar:

    IBS, Daring Shout, Restoring Strike, Sure Strike, Wicked Strike

    I switch out Restoring Strike for Not so Fast if I'm doing content that has a lot of little mobs.

    I suspect in my "condition", the temp HP is full. If I hit tab, the power fail to add more temp HP. Hence, it is "stopped". I suspect I see this "bug" more frequent now because my GWF is stronger than before.

    ?? GWF's bread and butter is unstoppable. Worthless? Not sure what that means. IMO, no unstoppable means GWF cannot survive (I don't mean in the situation that the GWF has full health + full temp health and unstoppable not working).
