Stronghold Boons Bugs and Feedback

Since we have a lack of official feedback threads, why don't we create our own threads! This one here will be for feedback on the boons introduced with this module. This will include the following things:

Boons
How the boons are obtained
PvE vs. PvP Guilds and impact it has on boons
Boon choice dictated by guild leader?
Bugged Boons

We should probably try to make this as productive and useful to the devs as possible. To do this, let's use red for bugs and blue for feedback!

Feedback: Personally if I weren't my own guild leader for most of my characters, I'd be rather worried about the fact that my choice of boons is now limited by the decisions of my guild leader. Is there any way that maybe we can change it so that the guild unlocks "boon ranks" and each boon rank allows you choose one of the boons in a certain category? I like that type of thing a lot better.

I think it's unlikely that the boon system will be changed, although I like the suggestion. If it's indeed not possible to make boons more personalized, I'd say please introduce some sort of reliable guild communication, preferably with a guild-wide poll option. Chat is restricted to online players and guild mail is good for lecturing, not for discussing structures and coordinating action. That way guild leaders could make informed decisions, which is beneficial to everyone.
I hope it's not too far-fetched, I'd love to see better in-guild communication. Players can't be required to run a separate guild forum and guild members can't be required to check the forum often. Messages of the day also don't do this, because they are one-way.

I totally agree.. TO rely on the guild leader to choose which boons the rest of our guild members is allowed to can and probably be very frustrating.. To not have the option to choose what boons is best for my char vs. what the guild leader thinks is good for his chars' can become a major issue..

Please allow us to choose our own boons just like the rest of the camp. boons per char..

Which is why I created a guild website and put a forum on it.

Can anyone post what the boons are? I still haven't download the preview update.

From how I understand it the Boons work when you are in a party with other guild members, the more of you in the party the more effect you get from the boons. So if everyone could have different Boons you could have parties with minimal benefit from the Guild's efforts. The Guild Leaders picking the Boons is going to help the whole Guild, not just individual players.

Yes not all choices are optimal for all builds (I mean seriously my OP doesn't need to reach 30k power...) but the net gain for the Guild as a whole is better.

Do the boons only work on the Stronghold Map or also on other Maps?

Good question, my understanding is based on interpretation of the Tool Tips. We have a way to go to unlock a boon.
