Cannot return Elemental Earth seed to the tree

I finished both Earth and Air seed quest. I brought both seeds back to PE. I clicked the altar. After all the animation, the air seed was gone and the Earth seed stays in my inventory. I cannot activate the altar anymore. I tried getting out of PE and coming back. I still cannot activate the altar. I talked the Druid who only posts the quest will be available N hours later.

Did I miss something? Any idea?

    Yes, this happens if you don't turn in one seed before getting the other one.

    Don't worry about it, if anything you lose like 450 xp. You can just discard the extra seed.
