Why not? Just change the 2 binary digets that say 'no' in the code. That way we don't have the ugly pants and shirt showing with our armour set-up when we don't have too.
Where's the business reason to do this? MANY MANY more people will buy your zen inscribed garments if they aren't forced to look at them on screen. Cash to the company for a 2 second alertation to the code. win win.
Yup. And I'd pay *real Zen Points* for an "Emperor's Armor and Weapon Echantment" transmute, also. LOL
Ditto. Or even just a good selection of non-class specific armor transmutes that look like simple/mundane realistic armor instead of all this fancy-schmancy weirdola stuff that looks like a color blind elf got access to a glue gun.
No offense to the OP, but it is entertaining to watch people stat things like "Its a 2 second change...come on!" as if they company had not thought of it.
They know perfectly well that people want, and in some cases would spend Zen for. Some of them are very simple changes. For whatever reason, they don't want to do it.
I'd pay zen for the ability to switch between 2 unique specs (like a archer and combat HR, being able to change between). I'd pay zen to be able to swap powers with the click of a button. I'd pay zen to be able to swap armor sets with a button click.
They dont want to do it. At this point, for some reason, even money isnt enough to get functions built.
This exists for every class in both shirt and pants form.
Only problem is that no one will ever use that,.. since its like +5 to some stat. might as well just not wear pants and shirt at all. It was also a fail because it still had the ugly rag underwear showing.
Better to have nice ones like the inscription clothes, and flip the switch to allow disable. its already in the pull down, just not enabled.
Although, like was said, I am starting to think they don't really want to make money so much.

Sigh. You don't wear it, you use it as a transmute. The rag underwear thing was put in because people complained about the characters instead being naked barbie dolls, which apparently upset the violence and murder is a'ok, but don't hint at a naked female crowd. So even if they made it a toggle you'd still get the rags.
1: Have no idea what's involved with enabling the "disable visuals" component on cloths, please don't act like you do. That the item is in the right-click dialog means absolutely nothing other than it's a shared component. It's a mistake to make assumptions about anything when talking about software this complex.
2: They have implement this feature in the form of the Emperor's clothes. It is what you get. This IS how they decided to enable the ability to disable clothing visuals. You came MAKE the Emperor's clothes yourself, for free, so don't complain that you can't - or you can get it fast by paying someone else for the service is making it for you via the AH. Either way, that's how you get disabled visuals on your clothes. (Edit: as charononus pointed out, these are free transmute items, you aren't supposed to wear them on their own)
Really, that's all there is to this. You can already get what you want, so.. go be happy with your invisible clothes.

It's perfectly ok though for npcs to wear less, such as the Ashmodai Summoner with it's bikini bottom and showing parts top. http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Summoner

Didn't say I agreed with it. Said it was done based on moral outrage from some. They were exactly as you wanted and the outrage made them change it. I seriously doubt that they'll change it back.
