This would be the best answer. Black Ice Beholder spawns in DV every hour on the 0:30. Remorhaz spawns every hour on the hour in IWP.

And make Black Ice Domination spawn in DV every hour at 0:45 and in IWP at 0:15.

That way you get a lot of action happening back in IWD, giving people a reason to populate those zones again. Even more so if you make the gloves BoE :)

But then you can't instance hop :c. Though is there even more than 1 instance anymore?

You CAN technically instance hop if you're in a party of the same faction as you. This is how people arrange "matches" for their guild/ group of friends to gain achievements from killing/ rezzing each other.

    1) Join party of same faction in different instance.
    2) Exit Icewind/ Dwarven Valley via gate.
    3) Rezone back to Icewind/ Dwarven Valley to join party members.

When Icewind first came out there were mass complaints how the drop rate was too high on the purple gear you got from Purple light Heroic Encounters. In those first two weeks I had gotten two pairs of BI gloves already. The drop rate was reduced.

I DO notice though that most people trying to get gloves often solo rather than go in a group, and whatever random factor applies to those in groups they do seem to get them quicker.

If any Black Ice Gear is put for sale ( if at all again) then DO NOT put it as a Zen item pack, or exhorbitant on Wonderous Bazaar. Please take a look over a week what the average rate they are for sale on the AH for, and then based upon market demand/supply price it accordingly for a pack on the Wonderous Bazaar ONLY. AD is easier to get than zen, and you can get it free in game. It would also help continue the current trend of the price of Zen going down on the AD/Zen market.

im absolutely against the idea of selling pieces to zen store.
i m more for making all those gears bind on equip and allow all the pieces to drop

You can hop because instance spawn them at different times. If they all spawned at the same time, it wouldn't be effective. Also black ice gloves are bop, otherwise thre'd be less reason to complain.

I guess what he means is that you can't instance hop any longer to fight as much HEs in a given timeframe as possible. I think timed HEs are still the better option as nobody should be forced to waste time waiting around. This is especially true since you are unable to monitor different instances with a group of friends. If a HE spawned at 30, you could do Tiamat, go to IWD beat an Epic HE and then come back to WoD for the Dragon round. Would be a thing of beauty.

In that case drop rates might not even have to be tweaked.

At 8k Black Ice per equip, I don't know why it's not in the shop in IWD anyway.
They're ****ing gloves, not mainhand weapons.
Broken mechanics, broken class designs, lack of actual content, and over zealous, bronze-age moderation?

NEVER , ever should equipment be in the zen store, bad enough that items like artifacts have showup.

Frankly, if you dont like gearing through gameplay, whats the point of the game?

They shouldve fixed drops to tokens for each major HE you did, run 50 and you get either weapon or gloves. Problem wouldve been solved.

Im more of a token place then rng anyways. I mean you can keep rng, but when rng is like 1-5% or something, then your more likely just to run something , earn the game tokens you need and get your gear.

This game has heavily skewed on RNG for a bit now, not really fun for anyone in the end.

I think that the best solution would be making the bracers BoE. People would actually have something to farm.

I'd like to see a more favorable drop-rate, at the very least. I am also 100% behind the idea of set HE timers for the zone.

Not too keen on the gloves showing up regularly on the Zen Market, but I certainly wouldn't object if they were buyable from the Caer Konig merchant who sells other BI gear.
