Issues with 1366x768 graphics resolutions

Hello,
Whenever I set the game to use the above resolution few things happen:
1) If I Alt-tab or lose focus for any reason (ie windows alerts popping up), I cant get back into the game. I see just a black screen when I get back.
2) Switching from full screen to windowed mode causes the cursor to point not where it shows. I cant click on anything and I end up just restarting the game.
3)The game wont load with that setting. I have to load in safe mode and change graphics settings later.
I use this resolution because its native for my laptop and I have no issues when using an external monitor with higher resolution.
I'm using a Dell Vostro 3450 with switchable AMD graphics (can send detailed specs if needed).
