Any use for flaming enchant ?

Does flaming enchant have any use in pvp at all ? It seems to be exactly like plaguefire but without the ability to weaken the enemies defense. So does it have any use other than looking cool ?

As far as I can see, its current use is only to proc abilities which can be proc'ed via DoT or to counter perma-stealth folks. But as you have mentioned, it can't weaken enemies so it is obviously inferior to plaquefire, from the viewpoint of effectiveness.

Personally, I really hope there can be a weapon enchantment which works like plaqufire but uses positive/divine energy because plaqufire doesn't correspond to my character's style, from the view point of roleplaying.

Yeah I can understand that, its a real shame there isn't much choice of enchants or most of them are a lot weaker than others. Main problem for me is I HATE the look of vorpal enchant lol, it might sound stupid, but it really bugs me. I have tested with most enchants but haven't tried flaming yet, was hoping it would be at least half decent.

I'd say it's worse than GPF but I like it's visuals. Besides it's rare because noone really crafts it.

That's the main reason I want it, I love the visuals and if I was a pve player it wouldn't bother me much but since I pvp a lot it restricts the enchants I can use :/

I hope the weaker enchants in this game get a buff lol

    Flaming is garbage, hun.

    Just a poverty plaguefire.

If you want visuals pick Lightning. IMO perfect lightning is one of the most aesthetic enchants, and that electric sound it produces is ear-candy.

They have one. It's $200.00 for the pack to get it.

It is very different from plaqufire. Plaqufire reduces up to 45% of targets' defense, and that benefit all of yours and your party members' attacks; Brilliant Energy only has 30% chance to deal an extra small damage, which ignores half of targets' damage resistance isn't really meaningful, and that doesn't benefit your other attacks.

It's understandable. Many player thinks vorpal's visual makes them uncomfortable, too. Therefore many players are asking for an option to disable weapon enchantments' visuals.

Yes but it's pretty much the energy type you were looking for. In general I don't think they'll release another enchant of the same "energy" type as those already here. (at least for damage purposes) So if you want something of that energy type I think that this will be your only option.

Umm... If I only want that energy type, I can simply use Holy Avenger, which is better. Despite Brilliant Energy's style is good for roleplaying, I still find it being pointless overall because it can't really help players in combat.

It's funny that the most valuable pack's enchantment is for roleplaying purpose and is no comparison to a lockbox's enchantment in effectiveness.
