New mount concept: Polymorph

Basic Idea: A trinket that lets you polymorph into various creatures

example: Polymorph large gold dragon. Changes you into a horse sized gold dragon.


Works just like a mount and gives no combat effects.

I think PW could make lots of monies off of this concept

    Not a bad idea - you basically turn into your own mount - pretty cool.

    They could apply the same forced dismount rules, so that if you took too much damage or too many hits (based on the "level" of the mount) that you would poymorph back into your regular self, lying on the ground as in the typical forced dismount.

    Seems plausible.

    Druids actually change into things that can fight and do stuff in different forms.

    This is just a 'mount only' transformation. A spell via magic item, verses a supernatural class ability.

    Also, imagine the Role playing possibilities this would open up. Adding a bunch of these to zen store would boost sales for sure.

    In a sense, this would be easier to implement than the current mounts - no riding animations to worry about, no clipping issues, etc. In effect, this is what the Apparatus mounts do - they replace your character model completely.

    That being said, I'd actually prefer to see some more variety of horses and Worgs in different varieties of armor & barding - maybe some based on different in-game factions and such.

    I would absolutely love love love polymorph mounts. I've incorporated my Heavy Worg into my character's lore (and who doesn't want a mount who can hold a conversation with you?), but even I would seriously be tempted to put money down for a chance to change into a dragon or bear or something as my mount.

    That said, I want to play a druid in NW ^_^.
