Good god that walking animation. It looks as if someone recycled these warlock animations from a very, very early build of the original game (which was planned as single player rpg).
Seriously, this needs a change, it looks horrible. You still do have animators and someone who knows the source code as part of the team, do you ?
I got a little question to devs. Since SW healing paragon path is based on lifesteal mechanics, if we are at full hp and hiding at somewhere else attacking mobs from afar, we do zero healing to our allies?? Then the entire path will be useless!! If i want to heal my allies i must jump into mobs to keep my HP low?? How will this temptation path be competitive in PvP and PvE ??
Thanks everyone for the responses so far!
As always, we are actively monitoring the thread, and follow-up with updates that will address your issues.
Regarding the animations - We are still iterating on them internally, but will work to improve them to make them better fit the "attitude" of a Warlock.
Lots of great feedback in here that we will be taking into consideration
Awesome! *high five*

Awesome! I'll hold off on naming my Warlock "Quasimodo."

Right. Howsabout fixing it so AMd users can get on the preview?
i have an amd and no problems apart for the ape looking warlock i like the class
What processor? It seems to be bugged for folks with 8-core systems. I envy your ape-looking warlock and ability to test changes to your existing toons.
Feedback: Class Mechanic Curse Not enough incentive to use this "20%" buff in the heat of pvp (being chased) when you can just focus on dps. It needs to be buffed or at least made more useful (The small encounter effects are not worth the removing of the curse in most cases IMO). If the final Scourge Warlock class mechanic remains unchanged I will definitely rather stick to my GWF or TR.
This ^
So far the SW looks and feels like someone glued together reskinned scraps of other classes including but not limited to DC, GF, GWF and spliced it with some monkey DNA.
I was seriously looking forward to my first magic user in Neverwinter but this is not it

According to the spirit of the class, this is not true, especially of the Damnation tree, which is supposed to allow the Warlock to do damage "at a variety of ranges." The fact that you feel this has to do with how squishy the Warlock feels in groups of mobs, I suspect.
You suspect correctly, sir. I can't just stand in a group of mobs of normal and elite ones and wave my Hand of Blight without taking more damage than I can heal.

Any chance we can see screenshots of your combat log please with your character sheet open at the side of it as well as allowing us to see the enemies you are attacking , just saying "they are too strong blah blah" isn't useful feedback without seeing the context i.e what gear you had on , what level mobs etc etc.

Of course not, he is an honest player, look at his join date, he knows things. How dare you doubt his judgement, he is a veteran, so he obviously knows what he is talking about. If what he is talking about is a steaming pile of dung, that is.

Without proof, even if possible, all claims of 'I crits for 3241234234k as lv1, NEERF' HAVE to be doubted.
As has been said, the WL can, given enough preparation, stack damage bonuses like mad. Then, if people 'test' it in the Artifact quest dungeon, where they get scaled up, it taints the results, in addition, they most likely use 'Twink Gear' (Slayer of Xvim, the few Ancient Mulhorands that seem to be around, highlevel enchants) and have those crits when hitting enemies that would drop to 1 or 2 At-Wills anyway, so 90% of that damage is probably 'Overkill' damage.

Screen shots can be edited and are not proof. IF you read what I wrote I layed out the particular set up needed and gear. Also if you read you would of seen it was out in the open not in the artifact quest as I was only lvl 19.
And no where am I saying nerf nerf nerf, and anyhow if any one is asking or claiming nerf at this point needs to get a brain, the class is barely a day old.
As far as twink gear, almost everyone uses "twink" gear gotten from older established toons they have.
I am actually more concerned how things work out at lvl 60 then during the leveling up.
Oh I'm not calling the guy a liar but if he is doing that kind of damage while kitted out in epic gear with a legendary artifact rank 10s and perfect weapon enchantments and a epic augment with rank 10's it isn't really reasonable feedback , I just wanted to see what gear and enemies he is talking about xD
Pll always forget to read patch notes to explain Artifact recovery q is a no lvl mini dungeon like any CTA .
Yeah I probably just scan read them or just ignored the notes about the quest because I never really thought I'd be running it again on a low level character , probably will now since Warlock seems to be quite a cool class xD

It was not you, but several others doing that. I know you would just call someone out like that with out asking questions. I tried to answer how this can happen.
I was just saying you were asking the right questions...what gear, enchants, companions etc. That is why I explained what I was using to get the numbers I am getting as my set up will not be typical on live or even preview.
IMO...A single high crit does not indicate anything is OP, as it will take a particular set up, rotation etc.
One other thing that has to be considered is while leveling up, stats scale up and down so fast that certain levels become well god like, but this is true for every class at those levels.
I am reserving judgement until I have leveled my lock up to 60 and all that jazz.
Tyrannical Threat: Temporarily changes your Curse class mechanic to "Tyrannical Curse", and upgrades any of your existing Curse effects. Those affected by Tyrannical Curse are damage linked, and deal 30% of the damage you deal to them to other targets affected by your Tyrannical Curse
On synergy with: Perfect Lightning Enchantment
Problem: Tyrannical Curse damage portion activates Lightning arcs, which then reactivate Tyrannical Curse on all cursed targets (WAI as far as I'm concerned). However, this progression continues to loop for as long as the daily is active, creating graphic stalls. Animations of powers cast after the daily use are affected, and later use of Warlock's Curse will not show its icon above targets. The issue is only resolved by resetting the map (exiting) or switching characters.

Ah, thanks for the elaboration. I guess.
You suspect correctly, sir. I can't just stand in a group of mobs of normal and elite ones and wave my Hand of Blight without taking more damage than I can heal. afaik there is only ONE power (HoB), which also has a melee counterpart. So I don't know where this "variety of ranges" should come from.

Re-setting up ACT. ( Just reinstalled windows a a couple of days ago) Hoping I can remember how to copy and paste from it.
