Any guesses as to what colors the Warlock dye kits from alchemy will use? How about the class artifact? I hope the Ancient Mulhorand kits will be updated to drop Warlock gear. :)

Loving the warlock so far, but one thing I can't stand is the way he walks/runs/stands. It is like Quasimoto meets Igor... I hope the devs fix it to where he stands like the others. I can deal with the loping type walk I suppose

I got a chance to play the Warlock a bit. So far it seems very cool - there's a lot of potential here! My only gripe is the horrid clawed-hand-walk that they gave them. :/

I was nvr a HR, or a TR, or a CW, or a DC.. Some of us stick with what we actually enjoy instead of jumping the FotM wagon..
That being said Ive been waiting for a year to roll a Tiefling as I love the race so all I needed was a cool caster class ( CW doesnt fit that in my eyes ).

Note to devs: Keep the CW's horrendoes casting animations and combat posture awaaaay from the Warlock please

Not to be too mean, but does this mean you have a GWF?(didn't see it under your list of non-played classes). That is a huge FotM wagon jump there. With the introduction of IV for them, the second most populated class after HR release was the GWF for their boosted FotM status.
I hear "learn to play" all the time, but it seems to me that it should be defined as "my class is balanced, except when others beat it, then THAT class is OP"...

There's a difference (at least in the comic book worlds that you reference) between those who gained their powers from a dark source but struggle against that internal darkness, still doing good, and those who gain their powers by willfully entering into a pact with Evil on order to gain power. Infernal pact warlocks are almost by definition that latter group. Any infernal pact warlock that isn't working evil with their powers is likely getting a visit soon from some infernal thugs reminding him of exactly who his master is.

Isn't Spawn hunted by both Heaven and Hell? Plus, his "contract" was also willingly made(same with Ghost Rider).

I'm already lvl 60 and I can tell you it's pretty hard to upgrade the spells and feats because ALL OF THEM are usefull, really. You'll really need to be experienced to have the most usefull scourge warlock on live because you are easily perturbed with all these beautiful spells

Waiting 7 months for this class, and so far I'm Impressed. Looking like revs did a good job with this class. I cannot wait to try this out in PvP and destroy my foes with warlock powers! :D

What weapon does Warlock use? I read pact blade or wand but the Warlock in the blog screenshot has empty hands and something floating about at his side , don't tell me its another version of the CW orb xD

    uses pact blade ,,

to describe the blade it kinda reminds me of mako's blade in the intro cut screen when you make a new char.

As for the warlock in general early on , Is it just me or does the run, walk jump seem like your playing d*nky kong Jr with a sprint that , actually messes with your view.

aside from that the first levels , just feels REALLY squishy so far.

it would appear from gear I've been dropping these chars stack ALLOT of life steal , con gives you damage bonus and hp, on top of that vampiric encounter sucks life from foe and gives you HP, seems like it could do well in pvp if its shaping up the HP rebuild factor ,

So far damage output seems kinda low, but understand this is low level first impression. all the minion / orbs you spawn out off the bat seem to only half work at this time ( its in beta) .

I'll give more opinion later today after I level it up a bit more.

I don't PvP, so the Mulhorand items are merely a convenience for me. While I do enjoy the 1-60 game somewhat, I've already been through it many times, and would like to make a fairly leisurely time of it. I also just think that a weapon w/ a lifedrinker enchant in it just screams "warlock"! :p

    No.
That would be the All Powerful Clown-O-Mancer.
Clown-O-Mancers are FAR to powerful and would create total game imbalance.
    PvP would just be OVER.

No characters from the test server have ever been transferable to the live one.

Yeah this is why I never understand why people level pre-released chars to 60 on preivew... the hell. So much free time wasted

(I'm aware they're using EXP tomes) But back then with the Rangers, no such thing existed.

to test mechanics and playability and so when it does come out you know how to play it efficiently and more importantly know its weaknesses in pvp lol

Have you leveled one to 60 yet? If so can you give me impressions?

I think it'll go this way when it's released:

    - Pathfinders will trash a WarLock, they stomp any class anyway

    - Perma Stealth will also beat a Warlock

    - GWF would eat a WarLock alive (Perhaps, we'll see how severe the nerf is and how a LIMITED threatening rush will affect their mobility)

    - CW will be superior to Warlock in PVP... Warlock has no dodges and CW has more control (Will be even better with the new Oppressor), I looked at warlock powers and they looked meh.

    - I'm not sure about GF and DC honestly. Probably a statemale in the DC's case when they're geared of course. I can't say anything about GF's since I'm not even sure if the new block is a buff or not xD

Of course that is just speculation and pre-judging on my part. Most said that HR was garbage at first and look at Pathfinders now lol. Let's see if warlocks surprise us and be the FotM !

That looks pretty awesome. How does the combat feel? Is it as fluent as the classes we have?
Man I need to free up some disk space to try this out :(

Played to 10 and some change, combat seems fine up to there with them. Hard to compare with other classes since I get a Greycloak's legacy weapon and a pile of companions on every level 4 character on the main server, but the warlock seemed to do well. Without getting into the higher level abilities I can't say what they can really do though.

Someone asked about the pets earlier. Warlocks base get a quasi-pet soul puppet thing every once in awhile, one of the feat chains focuses on the soul puppet, making it permanent and causing more occasions to summon (if already summoned a new summon gives it a damage boost).

I like the class, but I see two things I would prefer to be different:

    1. I was hoping for more fire type attacks rather than necromantic. A few of the higher level abilities look promising in that area, but all the low level attacks are shadowy with black and green animations. I want some fire and brimstone baby.

    2. The warlock hunch. It's bad, really bad, bow legged, spread arms, crouched down weirdness.

    Other-
Tab Mechanic: Warlocks curse, deal extra damage, can curse up to three targets but the bonus damage becomes spread out. Some powers gain bonus effects on cursed targets.

Shift Mechanic: Sprint, like the GWF, except that while sprinting they gain 30% damage reduction and immunity to cc.

I don't have time to level to 60 but this is still exactly the reason why I play on the preview server when Big New Things are in the works, even if I never level past 12 or so.
Kerensa Loreweaver, level 60 DC | Rilla Turtledove, level 60 CW | Calvin Meriwether, level 60 TR
Kaylee Krankenwagen, level 60 GF | Tavandruil Wayfinder, level 49 GWF | Aldith Langley, level 51 HR

    I would probably assume not.

Due to the environment of the preview shard, that can cause seriously imbalanced issues. A player can literally copy their hooked up characters, give them their gear/money, delete said character, and copy them again. Within the hour of preview shard opening up the warlock, there were already level 60 geared warlocks already doing pvp with r10s and perfect weapon/armor enchants.
I hear "learn to play" all the time, but it seems to me that it should be defined as "my class is balanced, except when others beat it, then THAT class is OP"...
