Hellbringer, definitely. I'm also curious as to what sort of Tab Mechanic the Warlock will have. Hopefully it's not as lackluster as the GF's and DC's, preferably something with direct interactions with our encounters. I myself have been waiting for this class for ages now, and it's the next class I love after the Rogue.
I'm also hoping we would see a new Race for Mod 4. Been anxiously waiting for the Dragonborn race!
Good find, Banelorn. For infernal pact, Hellbringer just makes the most sense from a logistical standpoint.

I went at length on reddit about Warlocks being the next class back in February after Mod 3 was released. Zulkir Baltreyo uses player movesets when he transforms into people: GWF as Sgt. Knox, DC as Celeste, Rogue as Xune. When he transforms into Makos, he stands in a semi-crouched ready stance (similar to the Ranger's stance with a bow) with a dagger in his right hand, the tip pointed downwards. He shoots green flames, and has a highly damaging cone AoE, as well as a player-centered huge shadow explosion AoE.
I read the contents of the link, Trace. I must say that I LOVE some of the things I saw in there such as the "Shadow Walk" mechanic which seems to be the Warlock's Shift Mechanic. I'm hoping the Neverwinter version retains the concealment mechanic of Shadow Walk. Momentary concealment after dodging sounds really neat.
As for the Warlock's Curse, as it is, it sounds awfully similar to the GF's Mark... too similar, in fact. So I'm hoping the devs somehow managed to tweak it to at least be more fun and useful than Mark. An idea would be giving our Encounters some extra effects whenever it is used on a Cursed opponent.
I'm hoping the Warlock will have a lot of tricky elements to it.
Edit: Giving us a choice of what our Encounters' extra effects would be seems fun as well. Another Tab Mechanic idea would be giving us a choice of Slotting "Pacts" on our Tab Slot. Depending on what Pact we have equipped, our encounters will receive special effects unique to that specific path.
Anyway, this is just me hoping the Warlock has been done right. I can't wait!
I've been so anxious for I don't know how long, my Second Wizard is a MoF Build to mimic as best I could a Warlock. Already have an extra Blue Skeletal Dog sitting in the bank and I purchased the Reanimated Destrier (Rotting undead horse) and the Hell Hound a while back (thank goodness those are Account unlocks).
Both of those are green, rank II and will *definitely* be upgraded to Rank III, But which first? LOL The dead horse does have the best Spacebar Animation I've seen, though. (Cough, cough, long-cough and flies come forth from his mouth like in that movie The Mummy).

I didn't particularly care for the initial or Feywild packs - I hope they offer one for Module 4 - especially if the mount, companion, and other goodies are befitting of the "Tyranny of Dragons".
If they do pact blades, do you guys think it'll be the main hand or off hand? What would be in the other hand, then?

Actually liked Feywild pack, but would have liked to see a fairy dragon companion as well.

Maybe it'll be a hidden offhand like DC or CW has? maybe a rod or wand that isn't visible? whatever it is we will probably find out on Thursday or Friday.

Gotcha. If Makos is a reliable reference, like you pointed out, you only see the dagger - so I suppose the other item could be hidden.

Hopes for Tyranny of dragon pack:
Price: = feywild pack
Account wide Mount: large gold dragon
Account wide companion: gold dragon wyrmling
Title: Ally of Bahamut
Big bucks is this combo is implemented. Big.
So I take it a Wyrmling is basically like a hatchling or infant/very young dragon? How large of a dragon are we talking for a mount? I can't imagine it'd be much larger than the current ones. Wouldn't a flightless dragon-like creature make more sense as a mount? I'd also like to see a fashion set that consisted of a richly embroidered hood and cloak.

So im guessing this will be the new OP god after mod4 is released.
although (and im not holding my breath) hopefully since the devs are making all these changes to the currant classes they will make a big effort to have the warlock be balanced among the other classes.
But if history has taught us anything, it will be at least a month or two after released before they "balance" it, you know, after we've all put alot of time, money and hard work into building our perfect toon.

Shadow Walk + Concealment would be an awesome dodge mechanic! Very excited to see if they implement this.
Most likely the "Pact" aspect of the Warlock will be reflected in their Paragon Path. Pacts are semi-permanent agreements. Making one with a higher power is no small deal, so I doubt they'll be interchangeable. Although Warlock's Curse is similar to the GF Mark ability, I'm curious how they may tweak it to be more original.
Either way, get that Warlock on the PS so we can test it out!

Large is horse size. very young and young golds are large.
Wyrmling is basically right out of the egg. They are medium size (roughly human size), when they hatch. Not much different in size than most regular companions are now. Other metalics are a bit smaller.
There are rules in D&D for both dragon mounts and companions. So this isn't as strange as half the things in this game. Also it is not uncommon for young metallic dragons to be fostered to powerful adventurers.
Well, no mounts fly in game atm, but some glide, like owlbear, when you jump off a drop. I think this would be a cool effect. Technically tensers does fly, it just doesn't go anywere except hover.
Oooooo! cloak of Bahamut! bright silver platinum cloak, with rampant bahamut designs on it.

I wonder if they could sort of do it like a cross between a GF's mark and a CW's spell mastery ability - you curse a target, and any encounters used against them has a different or greater/additional effect.
I did a bit of reading about Warlocks, and it seems like they normally wear leather armor. Is this correct?

I really hope that the make some of the other warlock options other than infernal pact available. Given what's already in the game story-wise, fae, elemental, or other such warlocks would fit right in.
Given the game as it is structured, having all of the warlocks be evil users of devil magic doesn't really seem to fit in. Why would such a person do the neutral-to-good themed actions that the quests send you on? And wouldn't the local magistrates have a fit that their city has been suddenly invaded by users of infernal powers?

Evil neutral to any form of good doesnt seem so bad. Sometimes we are needed to fight fire with fire in dire cases. Eg. Ammon Jerro the warlock in neverwinter nights

The tyranny of the dragons story might have some reason that 99% of the population are suddenly Warlocks xD and yes I agree with you when you say they should have chosen something other than infernal .

No doubt they will. Most likely it will be a second paragon path introduced down the road. As for now, I'm getting very excited about the classic, dark warlock.

I will definitely make a Warlock with the one character slot I have left, probably tiefling or halfling. Although if they would also add Dragonborn I would buy more slots and make a Dragonborn Guardian Fighter.

My only concern is that the devs are unlikely to recode all armor and fashion items to fit with the larger frame of Dragonborn - I fear that if they do get implemented, it will either be in a sleeker form, more closely fitting the current clothes, or won't be added at all...

Excellent...now, if only I can have a Gnome to level as a Warlock. I have the prefect name picked out...actually circa 2003 and D&D 3.5.

I have read a lot in the forum that the HR and the SW (Scourge Warlock) were in the beta, some ppl were able to see items, pictures, etc. Were these the only classes or there was another one? Because it took them 1 year to release new 2 classes which were already in work (at least 50%) how long would it take to bring a new one then?
I don't see a story problem with warlock being primarily infernal pact-based ... just as D&D warlocks can be both infernal pact warlocks and heroes, there should be no problem.
I'm personally hoping for a star pact option, though. Maybe just me?
Also, as much as I hate it, I'm probably going to be one of the 99% of the game population being a warlock for a month. How unfortunate.

They could've released the Warlock and the Hunter Ranger much earlier.
The point of these staggered releases is to have "must-have" content every couple of months. I'm sure they could release a new class in 2 months, but they don't want neverwinter having 20 classes within a year of its release.
Take for example the tier 2 dungeon/gear situation during open beta. When everyone was exploiting and getting their tier 2 gear within a few days, everyone was fully geared and had nothing else to do. The reason being they got to the endgame too fast. The dungeons were designed to have players progress it much slower, artificially extending the content.

Pact blade is what Makos uses in the Neverwinter opening video? like a magic dagger or shortsword?
Edit Actually watching that video he uses both a blade and bare hands for casting .
Good find, Banelorn. For infernal pact, Hellbringer just makes the most sense from a logistical standpoint.
And I shall be the one handing out the torches! Must have pact blade!
Perhaps Warlock's Curse will be their tab ability? Linked here on page 3.

Pretty sure they won't do anything that might lower sales of respec tokens later on
And @iambecks1, the Makos model in Dread Ring (the introdutory area and the fight with zulkir Baltreyo) uses the pact blade in a waving way.
