the tooltip says that I am able to dodge the next attack. But what I observe is that although the damage is avoided, the effects go through. This means for example that I still get chained in the air by entangle or knocked down by a gwf. I am quite sure that is not how it was intended.
Suggestions to improve NW:
- Dualspec
- Better rewarding foundry and foundry pvp maps
- Custom PvP leagues with leaderboards instead of the current 'matchmaking'.
- Armory
- make jumping cost stamina (to reduce hopping in pvp)

That is intended.
It originally acted as you had stated but that was changed before it went live as it was found to be too powerful.
Now the damage is avoided but the CC effects are still applied.
