Anointed Army prevent SotEA interaction?

Was running CTA today with an Anointed Champions cleric who was using the Anointed Army daily and everytime I was effected by the buff, I couldn't push my shard. It would just drop in front of me, stay there and explode eventually.

_If_ the daily is considered a control power (for whatever reason) it might be related to other shard bugs that occur while CC'd.
