If you are 10.5 gs, assuming you don't have perfect vorpal, it is entirely your team's fault if the aggro is on you.

If you are new to cw then using shield is a good idea since it increase your damage resistance, make you tanky.

Encounter wise: Tab skill can be chill strike or conduit of ice depending on build. The rest can be shield, shard and steal time. Entangling force is great too since it can control a single mob for 4 secs.

And never use repel in PVE unless you are pushing something off a cliff, it won't save u. It only kills u faster and make your team rage at you.

tnx... i just recently start using shield (on tab mostly),,, didnt run T dungeons yet with it... for encounters im using fanning flame same as both fire passives (crit and increse smolder dmg) for max DPS... still time and ray of enfeemblement (cuz i have feat for it)... i wonder should i change on more cc encounters (chill and entangling force), but im losing many DPS then...

    anyway.. tnx for advice...

In dungeons you generally want to avoid single-target encounters unless the situation calls for it (like during a boss fight where you are needed to focus the boss and not handle the adds). It's best to leave Ray of Enfeeblement and Entangling Force off of the table (if you must use EF, at least put it in Tab so that it helps your team keep things bunched together). Single-target powers hurt your damage big-time.

    Example AoE Powers:

Chill Strike, Sudden Storm, Steal Time, Shard of the Endless Avalanche
Conduit of Ice, Sudden Storm, Steal Time, Shard of the Endless Avalanche
Chill Strike, Conduit of Ice, Steal Time, Shard of the Endless Avalanche
Conduit of Ice, Icy Terrain, Steal Time, Shard of the Endless Avalanche
Conduit of Ice, Sudden Storm, Steal Time, Icy Terrain

As slush suggested, Shield can help improve your survivability, but you have to resist the temptation to use the burst unless you want a raging group and to hurt your own DPS as well. Putting it in Tab is definitely the way to go if you feel the need to use it, because it's far more effective of a defense that way.

Again, as slush also said, NEVER slot Repel in PvE unless you know you will need to throw enemies off of cliffs. It's a nifty power that stops being useful in most PvE very shortly after you first acquire it.
    Sacrilege - Warlock
    Contagion - Cleric
    Testament - Wizard
    Pestilence - Ranger
    Dominion - Paladin

i hope its not necro time :)

i beg the differ with respect to some of the powers suggested before me.

my CW quite at the same GS (if not less) its depend mostly on ur powers but u cant put aside the stats contribution.

this is all from my exp:

mastery is very useful with mass aoe dmg dealing, shard and sudden storm, stealing time
(suddon storm is amazing and in mastery even more, i sometimes get 10K crit on all enemies struck by it, and change due to mastery effect)

single control powers like chill strike or entagling or conduit are not that useful, i use entangling to help out my party when facing multiple casters in the mob.

if u put something of the above in mastery its the chill strike (or enfeeblement if u really want to do single dmg), still mass aoe is better imo.

but, the most (with capital D) effective power is the singularity daily which fix the scenery for good dmg dealing and helping ur team.
setting the singu near where all the fighting happen the GF/GWF can help a lot killing all those pesky mobs and make them stand where u want, ready for sudden storm/steal time/shard which then deal the concentrated dmg.

the at-will, use according to ur build, and the second daily is the ice knife (get some 12-14K on crit)

just last word of advice, do some skirmishes and test various setup , its a quick way to test ur powers and u fight against all variations and with different variations of team members, can help u out to test what combinations is good for you and ur team :)

about repel, i think its useful only on mastery and only if u can push them of a platform something like in PK

and thats the main thingies, which are the important imo.

    have fun , happy dungeoneering

shard and steal time are going to be your main go to spells to keep things from attacking you, entangling on tab will help you even more but you sacfrice alot of damage for it (better than using shield though).

If you are surrounded and feel you are in trouble use oppressive force as it is a near instant CC and will give you quite alot of breathing space. If you are not in immediate danger using singularity can pull them away from you until the spell ends (furious immolation is pretty bad).

If no one is attacking those things (solo controlling) conduit of ice on mastery + icy terrain will freeze things long enough for you to shimmy around and get out of danger.

If problems persist, let someone else pull the trash/start the fights. If its still bad, then your groups are just not good at all..

I will keep it simple so you can learn, i will also assume you are thaum b/c thaum tends to outperform the other two specs.

I put conduit on tab, then use shard, icy terrian, and steal time.

I try to hit the biggest mob with conduit, then as they walk towars me, steal time and stun them, throw down the grown with icy terrian prone them with shard.

If for some reason they are still alive, I drop behind the terrian and let the mobs walk over it and get frozen, while beating them with chilling cloud.

Your team should be doing SOMETHING here.

As for shield, in dungeons now, it's a waste. You don't need it. If you put a CC spell on there you will do more damage, get more AP, etc...

I forgot to mention, when your singularity is full, drop it on top of the biggest mob, and repeat the rotation as the sing ends. Things should be dead quickly.
