Insane Hardware Lags At MC Outdoor Area

Just went into MC for the first time since Module 2 and my framerate was stuck right under 13. I'm running a fairly old computer but normally I settle between 30-35. And since it is working everywhere else but this very specific area (inside the castle I have no problems), I think this one might be a bug.
