Setting proxy in gameclient to US prevents connection... forever... (fix included)

After a texture crash, I restarted in safe mode and inadvertently set the Proxy to Us (in the new gameclient option).
Unfortunately, after this, it was impossible to connect to any server... The connection screen showed at the bottom left:
us1.proxy.cryptic.com (or something like this...)
Going back in the gameclient options, the (new) interface simply refused to SAVE it back to None, hence preventing any connection.
FIX: launch regedit
find Computer/HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Cryptic/Neverwinter/Proxy
Change the Value from 'US' back to 'None'
