Trying to decide which boon to go for next, which would be better for a CW, 700 HP or 2% AP gain?

    Same quandry.

Used to be firmly in the AP camp, but realised after careful reading there's no way to try out 2% faster AP gain which could be miniscule in bigger scheme of things. It cannot even be compared to Controlling Action which I felt no benefit until rank three (6%) because that is a flat gain not a rate of gain based on wording.

On the other hand, 700 HP is 3% HP for me, so its basically one rank of Toughness or a Radiant Enchantment, rank 7.

Also, since you may not be able to respec Boons, HP is the kind of effect that scales better with content or content changes.

Finally, HP impacts GS (I suspect ~182 GS) compared to AP. I would not be surprised if this is a deciding factor for much of the playerbase based on [Zone] chat I've seen, lol!

I think in this case, I may apply my standing rule about MMO "selections": if in doubt, choose the effect you can "see". :)

Yeah I was thinking that 2% will probably not be noticeable, while 700HP could be the difference between life and death.

You can respec your boons, I use my respec token yesterday and it let me do it.

Depends how good you are are avoiding damage.

I will personally go for HP because im a lazy wizard who doesnt move from melee attacks sometimes.

I wouldnt totally discredit 2% ap charge, these things all add up :)

But heres a little tip for anyone who is deciding (this is how i decide). Just imagine them both being enchants. which one would you rather slot?

Really? That's great! Then there's not much to lose but to try AP. :)

I will be choosing the 2% AP gain, because I am very interested in gaining as much AP as quickly as possible.

I can confirm that you CAN respec boons. I did it earlier today, with the free respec. I needed to change a mistake in my build from long ago, and when I finally got around to it I was able to change my first boon if I had the desire to (I did not).

It really come down to how you play and what your current build is. With my last respec I went for a high HP build and the extra 700 will take me to nearly 26000. Obviously this has meant sacrifices in other areas, but I like it. AP seems to fizz up pretty quickly these days with sudden storm too.

High Elves already get +2% AP generation, with this boon that's 4%... I am jelly.

I'm not a big fan of HP gain. I do like the idea of being more durable, but added HP reduces the effectiveness of potions. IMO DEF is a better way to get more survivability, so I'd pick the AP gain here.

another way to answer this is by asking how much are you dying? if you are dying frequently then possibly the HP is a better choice. Myself, I am choosing the AP gain, as i rarely die unless the party wipes
