Unless players are making multiple characters of the same class it doesn't make much of a difference anyways, and if they are making multiples of the same class then they either want multiples or want a better race or stat rolls for it, which if that is the case they really ought to be able to move their same class items onto their new character especially if they want to delete their older one.

Yeah, I agree. Anything that's currently BoP should be account bound. Of course, I'm not even sure if sending stuff that is account bound(like the adventurer's XP scroll) through the mail is fixed yet and with no other way of sending stuff to alts, it's a rather moot point if BoP becomes BoA.
stuff like binding upon equipping armor makes no sense, I'm pretty sure you get that stuff from drops of creatures who should have already been using them, I'd love an unbind equipment option even if it takes 18 hours to unbind an object

I can accept that because of it being a item sink. But I don't see why a reinforced glove I craft on my GF can't be worn by my CW.

Since there is currently no way to trade account-bound items, this is sort of a moot point Regardless, the entire reason MMOs employ this bound-to feature is to act as a "sink" for items/enchants/etc. They want to limit the supply, and this is one way to accomplish that.
