Offering free playthroughs and reviews

So I should have some free time coming up so to support the foundry community (plus to play some fun custom quests) I'm offering playthroughs and reviews for any authors that want them. I can also give constructive criticism if you so desire, or just play the foundry and give you a rating.

A few notes/caveats:

-I really prefer story driven quests, killing 50 Drow is ok, but I want to know why I'm killing them and have it hopefully be better than just "so you can kill the big spider Drow they are guarding"

-Tying into the previous one, I just want to run things based in DnD or at least some general high fantasy lore, not movie spoofs or something along those lines

-Solo quests only, it can be hard as I'm a pretty decent player, but it should be reasonably soloable

-I don't give less than 4 stars if I give a rating, however I only give 5 to quests I *really* enjoyed such as The Assassin Chronicles

-I'd really prefer not to have too much "journey into a dream/otherworld/Matrix" type of thing, it's okay in moderation, and I've even given a quest that included it 5 stars once but I really don't want to do a quest that is entirely that.

And that's it! Please post in here with a shortcode and brief description of your quest as well as if you want concrit or just a playthrough and review and I'll run it. Keep up the foundering!

I have 2 parts of my campaign done so far. They can be found by simply searching "Corleine" in the best tab. Both are a balance of story/combat with a bit of intrigue alluding to what is to come further in the campaign. It all starts with you answering the call to aid a small group in figuring out why some dragons in the relatively local area are acting oddly.

I hope you enjoy them! Thanks. :)

(I will take any constructive criticism if you have any to offer.)

I don't usually hop onto these types of threads, but I'm looking for some more feedback on my 2nd campaign quest. After some recent feedback, I'm wondering if the early "maze" part of it is too difficult and leading to some people quitting. (Although it only makes up maybe 10% of the Labyrinth itself, it's the first part of it.)

"Labyrinth of the Lich" is the second in a series of quests within "The Crystal Relics" campaign. The adventure continues as players test their courage and wits against the riddles and puzzles of a haunted maze. Future chapters will take adventurers across the Forgotten Realms trying to discover who or what lies behind the mysterious movements

    Thanks! :D

Absolutely all 3 quests in my campaign fit your descriptions. They are all story/combat and tie in to each other well I think. Also, if you do not have time for the entire campaign Part 2 and 3 can be played as solo quests. There is a small amount of story catch up that you can get through dialog if you want to. :) Information is in my signature.

Nobleman Burkhard has requested your aid. His daughter has come down with a mysterious illness. He couldn't find any healer that could help until he met Dr. Kristobal Dantario. The Doctor has been working on a cure for her, but his regular communications have stopped. Burkahrd needs you to go and check on the Doctor and his daughter.

Part 1 averages 29 min, Part 2 averages 41 min, Part 3 averages 27 minutes. They can all be played solo. I do suggest taking potions. I have play tested them all with my 60 Cleric and Great Weapon Fighter so I know it works well for solo.

Feel free to PM me with your thoughts. Happy questing/building! :)

Mine is languishing in the void and could always use some plays. It runs about 45 minutes, is heavy on story, and the combat isn't too tough. Custom environments and mobs... special effects... an optional easter egg hunt... Neverwinter's first in-game birth... and a full day's supply of vitamin C. It has a bit of meta humor that a few players hated because it pulled them out of the story, but most people who've played it have really enjoyed it... but if the idea of a pop-culture joke creeping in every now and then sends chills up your spine, you might want to skip it. :)

Just got done playing your first two missions. It got off to a bit of a slow start and the first "kill goblins" subquest seemed kind of un-needed but it really improved by the second mission. I especially like the subtle allusions to (I'm guessing here) Finley not being actually human.

As for concrit, first off you really overuse ellipses in your quest text, a paragraph break is usually less jarring to a reader and creates a natural pause if you want one, or if you want to create a quick pause to indicate nervousness or jilted speech maybe consider a double hyphen. Also, when ellipses actually are appropriate, remember to keep it to three periods and not more to make it look more professional. Also some slight visual bugs include the beer mug being stuck at an odd angle in the bartender's hand and I had a goblin in the dragon cave spawn inside the floor but that's minor.

Oh and who put the signpost in the Abyss? Was it Damien and the "good" demons? If so maybe add that it's been desecrated by the bad demons since it seems like they wouldn't want a sign warning of danger. Just a small thing obviously. Also, the characters in the final conversation say "<font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>" a lot which is a pretty modern colloquialism and doesn't really fit the setting, maybe change it to "rubbish" or something.

Overall, especially the second quest was very good and fleshed out, keep up the good work!

You could try Riddles in the Dark, the non-featured version. But that requires you to explore some, and interact with objects. (Not all hidden, and can sometimes be in plain sight.) If you do, you'll learn more about the story, and characters surrounding the campaign.
    I like turtles.

Thanks for the reviews and "concrit", definitely some good notes to go through for some potential clean-ups here and there. :)

My quests could use a review. The first one has you exploring a mysterious tomb, the second one in a strange realm. Short codes are in my signature.

Hi, I play foundry quests alot these days and I review them, only because I find them more interesting than cryptic quests sometimes and off course i want reviews also. So please try my short 1st part quest that is a little heavy combat but it's solo-able if your proficient and alert in combat. You might want to play part 2 who knows, since the story gets interesting later on. Thanks in advanced! :-)
