Just a little bit of an idea... Please make when npcs drop items as a result of dialogue that the loot window opens like it does when you drop items via interaction with items. Otherwise it might annoy some players when they get inventory filling up with no idea when they got the item in question, etc. The loot box helps make it very clear to the player that "hey I got this new thing here"
Too much subtle no loot window might allow some players to just throw away vital quest items since they think it's a bug that the item showed up in inventory as they didn't see the loot box or whatever.
The workaround right now is to simply make any item come out of interact with instead of dialogue, but that gets old fast...
as far as stackables go, I'm cheating a little... Simply put description of item in name and x5, x25, x100, etc. in the description box... then have interact withs 'eat' the item and replace it with another one... so like the 5 coins turns in to 10 or 100 as your stack grows.
not a very good workaround, but it works in some cases where 'fake' currency is a part of the story.

Edit: ...and not just NPCs - make all dropped quest items open loot window!
Also, pleeeeeeease make identical quest items stackable!
