So, until I can afford the BiS enchants, is it worth getting something to fill the spot, or should I just leave it empty? If worth filling, what enchants should I look at?

I should mention, I'm using Rokuthy's hybrid build, since that may influence what enchants I'd need to look at...

Dark if you haven't hit arpen cap in offense, radiant if you have. Tenebrous optional, depending on what you can afford. Utility I slot with Dark for movement. Defense I slot with Azure if under 3k, still undecided myself on silvery or Azure after 3k.

Weapon enchantments, plague fire is still a good party debuff, vorpal is good if you have a high crit chance. Armor, I'd pick soulforged or negation.

Just my opinion on the matter.

IMO rank 4-5 is pretty cheap AND cheap to unsocket too... I would put something in there because well.. why not have free stats?

Personally I did rank 5s to start and then did upgrades to rank 7 from there... skipped 6s... You can do 4s to 7 if youd like too.. If your REALLY conservative, pick 2-3 that you will get your first enchants on, leave those blank, and fill the rest with rank 3-4. Then once you get R7+ in those 3, go back and unsocket/socket the others... its always a work in progress...

Im different than Tang56. I agree with Rokuthy in that: Stack ARP/armor negation to 22-24% then stack power (as it scales best) then crit/recovery (you choose).

I use greater plague for my weapon and soulforged on my armor (for pve).

I'm running greater lightening atm for dungeons when others have greater plague fire and it's working quite nicely. The lightening arcs don't hurt mobs to much, but you do get 'free' aggro on all you hit so it's great for speeding up the collect & bunch for AoE dealers. The 18% extra weapon dmg is adequate. It's a nice alternate group friendly weapon for a GF.

Don't forget that you can just drag the next rank enchant ontop of the old one to upgrade. It'll destroy the old enchant, but it's not normally worth the AD to unsocket them.

Sorry....I should have clarified, I'm just talking the purple slot enchants on chest and weapon. When I first looked up the recommended greater plague fire and saw that it was 1.5mil AD I was like hrm.....I didn't realize there were lesser versions that were cheaper. So I'll go with lesser plague fire for now and start saving!

Oh thank you tons for that little tidbit info. I thought you had unchant an item before re enchanting it.

Does any one know the graphical difference between Greater Negation vs Perfect Negation?

I've only seen Perfect Negation (somewhere in this forum)... or do they look the same?

    thank you.
