The current requirement for 360 ardent coins to unlock the companion from the vault of piety are complete and utter insanity. This is pretty much the height of stupidity to make a player long in, for 360 CONSECUTIVE DAYS MINIMUM to even get this companion, with no promise the companion is even worth the time and effort put into getting it.
Furthermore, if a player is attempting to have a holy/paladin style character, he would need to long in for around 4 years strait to get everything required... to have the sword, the armor, the dyes, the mount, and the companion.
Do you honestly think this is reasonable?

This forum set up is absolutely horrible, I cant even figure out how to get my knight of the feywild title.

That is stupid. It completely negates one form of playstyle. Meanwhile captain satans ever lasting nightmare and nightmare armor is available for a song and a dance...
Huh? How does "play for and invoke for at least 360 different days" negate a play style? There are rewards for other ways of playing, why not one for long time/diligent players?

Because if I wish to be a holy knight, or do anything ACTUALLY DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS LIKE SUCH AS PLAY A CHARACTER I have to be in game for a year strait. Meanwhile again, captain satans wonderful devil attire and murder horse is available to me right now with minor effort.

I also don't see any "captain satan" armor anywhere ingame. Closest would be the Madness armor I guess...
No, but explain to me how good and virtuous I must be, riding around on a flaming hell horse with a fire demon for a pet and "nightmare" equipment..

Err...don't ride the nightmare mount? There's a unicorn mount in the Fey pack and a bunch of free and paid non shadowfell mounts.
In fact, you probably ought to be using a cat or stone for a companion as well, but even so there's a multitude of pets/companions that aren't phoera or fire archon.
Nobody is forcing your holy knight to dress up in flaming black armor, ride a shadowfell creature with a chaotic evil companion shouting cusswords at old women and children.
So my options are "Flaming hell beast" or Cat and a rock...
again this is not a problem to you?
Your choices are several varieties of horse, armored horse, bears, worgs, and other creatures for mounts.
For companions you have 2 clerics, 2 defenders, a great weapon fighter, a mage, a golem, the rock, cat, a ghost, and several others.
You really need to chill out.

My choices are 2 very bad clerics, and a bunch of generic neutral style companions. along with several neutral style horses and generic animals with armor.
Again nothing conductive to having a holy character, all more with neutral/evil
Somewhat. Mostly because pet that aren't augment pets are markedly less effective.
If you want my opinion on pets and companions, then they need to bring out training tomes and give them better AI and make the non augments more viable in endgame. Thus you can properly choose to use your cat/stone or your L30 Cleric, etc.
As for variety, I'm alright with the current variety and for the record, am strong against putting new companions(or anything else) in RNG packs. I can see you point with some different alignment themed companions or pets. I think this could be solved by allowing for cosmetic items and dying on companions(so you can have your man-at-arms dressed in white, gold and silver plate so he looks like a paladin instead of a merc).
I suppose "<font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>" evil stuff sells better than good aligned stuff.
That is it, now you get what im saying.
I am not really about denying or getting rid of the "<font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>" stuff, I am upset that no champion of good stuff is available to me. I would be all for dying, changing the appearance, etc of companions. Maybe even choose the gods my cleric worships.
And the "<font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>" stuff is the drawing point, for some reason new generations seem to think king authurs are huge vaginas, meanwhile captain edgy the demon lord who doesn't afraid of anything and screw helping people cause he does not care, with all his spikes and chains and fire, is the kewlest dood ever.
I do not mind the children getting their evil fanwanks, if I can have my good fanwanks too, unfortunately I do not have my good fanwanks.

This game won't hold player's attention long enough. I've already stopped even logging in myself. After my guild turned to <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>, with me in longer than everyone, from a previous game, and the lack of content, I don't plan on logging in again for a long time. Standing around waiting to run the same boring content again and again, is not a game I, and many others, want to play. The coins don't vanish, but there isn't a reason to even look at this game, for many. I just look at the forums for posts about the immunity in pvp. I want to see what they do about that.
The days when people didn't expect everything to be handed to them are long gone. Too many kids these days with entitlement issues. In any case, it's not the end of the world if you don't get some stupid companion in some stupid MMO, but their immature minds can't even begin to comprehend such a simple concept.
I blame bad parenting.
Everyone wants a cool companion and I want a private house on a private beach on a private island.
Some things take time.
Games aren't designed like that any longer, in terms of the actual content, apart from having gimmicks like this one. MMOs in the past few years have all been capable of being completely played out in the space of a few months, at the most, often a month or so. Just how it is today. The days of old skool MMOs are more than ten years gone by, really.
What is hypocritical about suggesting a pet that would be unique, and wanting to ALSO have the ability to have unique non-evil stuff?
