Why does my gear score drop 600 points whenever I'm close to the auction house

I've noticed that my gear score always drops around 600 points from 11,200 to 10,600 whenever I am within a certain radius of the auction area and no matter what direction I go it pops back to normal after getting so far away from it. Anyone know what is going on here and whether this also occurs when in PvE/PvP? Note: it might be the mail area, rather than the auction area, not really sure but either way this always happens.

There is actually a bug that is similar to that but it is when you are near a altar not auction area, are you sure it is the auction area?

It's neither of those areas.

It's a Cleric buff that gives defense and deflection... I forget the name. Check the buff list for an icon that looks like a skull.

There is a bug with 1 of the cleric sets where it will give you extra stats when you are close to the person wearing it but it will also drop your gearscore at the same time. Its in the notes for 1 of the preview patches to be fixed but for some reason hasnt made it to live yet.

divine emissary set (bug) gives this.. buffs your defence and deflect +250 and lowers gs by 500... just take a look at your buff icons it looks like a skull
