I would like to propose that the Daily quests be changed to be any quest with 5-20 review of 4-5 Stars.
Here is my reasoning:
Quests that have more then 5 reviews would be found in a search, but will rarely be run.
Quests that have the high number of reviews already show on the recommended list, and don't need the extra reviews/runs.
New Quests will never catch up to a high review quest, weather good or bad.
People do not go out of there way to try out new quests unless they find it on the Forums.
Some of the higher review quests that show in the daily list were created when the foundry started, many are really not the top level material they should be.
We need to encourage people to create new material, but if you make something and it never gets seen or run, then really what is the point.
I have been trying hard to get people to run my Quests, and I worked hard to make it as clean and well designed as possible. However, I will never end up at the top of the Daily list due to the way they are currently selected.

Good start to a revamp, though I doubt it's the approach Cryptic would find most appealing. If they were likely to consider any suggested change, that is.
The "Daily Foundry Quest" does need to be improved, agreed. But not sure your suggestions would be the right way to go.
3.New Quests will never catch up to a high review quest, weather good or bad.
I don't know about that, i've seen some quests jump from "just published my first quest, trading reviews" to being on the "Best" tab in just a few days.
4.People do not go out of there way to try out new quests unless they find it on the Forums.
Actually, i used to do exactly this. But, the way the "New" and "For Review" tabs are currently set up, it's difficult and frustrating to find quests, and they tend to just fall off in to the void. Many quests don't give enough description to know what you're getting in to, and sometimes the descriptions are very misleading. People are more descriptive, and more honest, here on the forums, and we can communicate back and forth with them about their quest.
5.Some of the higher review quests that show in the daily list were created when the foundry started, many are really not the top level material they should be.
Not sure what you mean by "daily list." To be eligible for the daily quest, all it needs is 20 plays and a 15+ minute average duration. The "Best" tab is dominated by older quests, yes, but newer quests do get on there. I've been brainstorming about some ideas about this on another thread.

I've seen that a couple of times too, but I would count those as exceptions. Most of the time it was someone who already was on the Best tab before, or a paid employee of Cryptic. Since that's like 2 out of 5000 we're talking about, I think he has a pretty valid point.

As long as they fix it i'm happy. It is well, plain broken at the moment. The 15 min limit is just silly, they need to do something about this.
I would like to see more variation in the Quests. I like to try out new stuff, and I love to find quests that have not been run much. Maybe something they could do is show 5 on the Daily list, and have 3 of them be the seasoned ones, and 2 be random from the newer ones.

Those two would have a rather large chance of not even being able to be finished, or exploit quests :P. - Just the nature of things atm.

I oppose this as well as there are many new and great quests out there that just don't get enough exposure to even hit the 5 review / 20 plays limit. Since most people play for AD / minute, the current requirements are already a stretch.

This comes down to Cryptic in the end, not us authors. They just don't seem to listen enough, or at all atm. - Something needs to happen with something to get the longer foundries plays as well. I mean a quick look at things and you realize the only foundries at 30 min or so getting any real plays, are either featured authors, or currently featured authors.
The main problem for me is that the foundry tabs in the catalog contain the same quest and do not change very much. For example in "for review" tab there have been the same quests for weeks, same goes with "new" and so on ... I do not get how it works.
I would really appreciate a tab that would contain real new quests as they were published (meaning they would refresh regularly), because I like playing quest that need to be reviewed to help new authors, but it is impossible to find them without the code which you have to get elsewhere (forum, pm and so on).
