experimentation and research vanished from alchemy list

I have got my alchemy to 13, I have 9 things I can do on the list but my experimentation and research items have vanished. so i can't get to 14.

sounds similar to the people stuck at other levels.
I'm ignoring the invisible exp line which I've had since rank 3.
