I made battle clerics and am having fun in PvP, though they aren't set up for PvE

I basically like to PvP and only get about half the kills everyone else gets, but at least now I'm able to finish near the top and even at the top for blue items once again. My last match I was on the losing side of a well fought 5v5, ended up in 1st place and got a blue item, had 10 kills 2 deaths and 29 assists. The opponents rogue that tried to maintain an end spot all by himself fled from our lengthy fight almost dead and didn't ever come back. The GWF that charged me a couple times while losing began leaving my cleric alone. I know people are saying clerics shouldn't go with life steal, but mine has 7.5% life steal on it, has wisdom maxed out and all other points in strength, and primarily took the third cleric path. I run into battle, cast astral shield to blow everyone away as if they were skeletons on a bridge and then follow up with chains of light cause they are going to be charging me after that and then all but the GF is frozen for awhile. I then turn to hammer of fate if I have it and hopefully knock out one of them, while using healing word so that I mitigate critical damage against me down to 20% and stand a chance at critical heal stat buffs. I also kite and port frequently cause that messes up attacks coming at me. I'm still only getting half the kill numbers as everyone else, but my kill to death ratio is at least 1:1 while I tend to lead just about everyone in assists and my points are respectable. Its fun running into around 4 of them on a node all by yourself, get off an attack or a few, and then continue on leaving the opposition going WTF was that??? If one or two follow you, you try to heal up while raising your divinity while doing so and then turn to hold your ground (if one of them has decent damage, you say to yourself lets do this as you levy hammer of fate to take out the injured). Its also a nice feeling to have friend's requests coming in after a match.

I'm sorry but I don't see the point of this thread. Are we supposed to be impressed by the fact that a cleric who leaves his healing role, speccs and gears up for PvP (making him near incapable of PvE), can get average stats in a PvP match? Like "Yay, if we pay ZEN and a couple of thousand Astral Diamonds we can do PvP DECENTLY!".

And btw, I think you've confused Astral Shield with Sun Burst. You're not gonna blow anyone away with AS.

ya, I don't use AS but rather Sun Burst... in PvP I'm still healing everyone and more than half the time when using AS my team wouldn't spend much if any time within it and I'd be knocked out of it quite frequently, not to mention its hard to keep divinity up when using it

my kill stats are half below average in PvP, but at least I can play and feel comfortable in PvP for a change, PvE has been sacrificed though and even under the PvP build the cleric needs major love by the game as its been nerfed into the ground (I used to be able to PvP and PvE with it)... its still nice going into PvP and feeling like you don't completely suck
