Are Zen Market Companions character specific?

I thought that the Zen companions would be account wide. The only reason I spent $20 on Zen to buy the new wizard was that I thought it would be available on all my characters. 2,000 Zen later and he only shows up on the toon I made the purchase from. I checked in-game email and the guy on the top tier of the Enclave :-(

    I would also like to know WHEN we can unbind companions.

    This feature IS in the game and currently not working.

    I have 2 Ioun Stones, I bought mine with AD->Zen. I have one on my main, and one I have levelled in preparation for the newer classes. I did this because I was under the impression that the feature to unbind companions would be fixed.

    Is this the case?

    Yes, they are character specific. In the future, I suggest reading the blue text at the bottom of an item's description in the zen store. It will tell you such details.

    It didn't even dawn on me that they would be character specific, since my Dire Wolf from my Hero of the North pack is account wide. I guess it just goes to show the proof about what happens when you assume :-(

    I bought a mount and was happy it was account-wide, swings and roundabouts eh? :D

    STILL THOUGH, when can we unbind companions? :D
