I received the Grandmaster Alchemist. While doing the Alchemical Research Task, the normal time for doing it is 15 minutes. However, when I use the Grandmaster Alchemist(+50% speed) the time only drops to 10 minutes.

This is just that the way that speed works.
A 50% increase in speed makes your speed 150%, it doesn't make time at 50%.
V=speed
D=distance
T=time
v=d/t
t=d/v
If speed is 150% that's 3/2
t=d/(3/2)
t=2/3d
So assuming that d is the base time it takes, t is effective time, and v is speed, and that d is 15 minutes:
t=2/3(15minutes)=10 minutes.
