Ok...I have been playing 2 weeks. Maybe 3 but no more than that. Some thoughts...

I have a capped DC, gear score currently 10,250.

So...first...I am NOT a power gamer, but I have had some time off so spent a lot of time in game. I think it is too easy to level/cap and gear out a toon. WAY to easy and fast. I have done most of the epic dungeons, and Castle Never tried once and got to beholder dude (2nd boss) then we disbanded d.t time constraints.

I find dungeons/combat super fun, and a nice twist on DDO (the MMO ive been playing for 4 years now).

However I have noticed something, and it is EXACTLY the sam in DDO. Hardly anybody runs the dingeons the "Normal" way. Now sure I will be tore a new HAMSTER by you guys im certain, but most all ones I run people show me new "tricks".

Does anyone run them normally? Today I saw how people do these speedruns, like 10-25 minute Karru runs, some other T2 ones even faster. Is that what gaming is to most people? FARM fests?

I cannot remember their names, but I want to thank the guys today that did a proper, im sure as was intended by devs pirate and karru run...no chees pike on wall etc etc or stand under dragons pooper cheese...proper fun normal no cheese runs...was super fun.

OK..other than that, I think is a great game for being F2P...no real complaints :)

well i hope to do them at least one time time completely but after a while Xd i think that i will probably do speed runs as well XD since at the end is a race to get you final equip XD
Everything works out in the end . If it hasn't worked out yet, it isn't the end...

the dungeons are horribly designed, with far too many map holes and other exploits.
compound this with generally repetitive trash-clearing with no rewards for it, and people will naturally want to skip as much trash content as possible.

first thing is pretty easily fixed by patching the holes/exploits. this should be priority #1 for the level design team.

second thing needs to be fixed by adding a small random chance for the trash to drop purple loot. why in @#$@ are they dropping greens in T2 dungeons? what player could possibly want or need a green item in CN? (furthermore WHO KEEPS LOOTING THEM? forcing me to spam ctrl-3 "pass" 5 times a minute.. STOP LOOTING GREEN TRASH!) better yet just stop dropping it! take all those green items and change them to enchants, or 1/500 chance to drop a purble item!

@walk2 : I must say, I do agree with you though on the trash part - does sometimes feel like mindless trash clear with ZERO reward, and as you mentioned nobody EVER loots the greens in the T2 dungeons form what ive seen. I like your idea of either enchants or SMALL chance at purps or even blues :)

enchants, purples and keys drop should be the best option in my opinion will make the lockbox a great deal and all players will be able to open them :D

The biggest problem nowadays that people have to much time at hand and are quickly bored.
My advice, do something else besided playing this game. spend max hours on this game and don't overblow it. Games used to be fun to play when you knew you'd only have a couple hours to play. You'd make it worthwhile.
Nowadays people make gaming their second life and are quickly done playing the game when they finished the game with the speed of light. This is not what games are ment for.

I really don't like the speed runners either. I like to explore a dungeon, that's what your supposed to do. I really enjoyed Pirate's Skyhold the third time through, when I could actually explore it. I enjoyed finding the chests hidden away in small crevices, and the puzzles. The first 2 times my group had a couple of speed runners in it. I would stop to look at a puzzle and the next thing I know they are down the hall taking damage. I don't care if it's your fifth time through it. If your bored by the dungeon(excluding the fights, they are repetitive) go run a new one. It may be my first time through.
