I've seen many many threads saying GF aren't welcome or are not usefull in end game content.
I'm still low level and rising up however after i saw all the threads related, i'm wondering if i really should keep leveling it.
I like tanking and i like the general idea of a GF, however if i reach lvl 60 and i don't get progress ill get bored... therefor should i keep leveling it or is it a better idea to reroll?

The short answer is: NO
Nearly all the first GF and those that have gotten to T2+ have moved on or are only semi active.
If you want to tank play a DC. If you want to have fun CW. If you want to kill HAMSTER fast TR.

Is it fun???
1. Yes => keep leveling
2. No => reroll
See, it's easy
If I know anything about MMOs, especially young ones, balance will keep jumping all over the place in the next few months.
Though if you're the bandwagony kind of person, feel free to listen to the people who have or will likely post something else in this thread.
Well i do like it and so far i've been able to somehow do my job. I dont care much about beeing top or bottom damage dealer with a GF i'm more worried if i will be able to do all content or not :P

Well if this tells you anything.
The best group makeup in the game atm is:
2 x DC
2 x CW
1 x TR
You can do anything with that group.
GF will be solid for all of T1 and some T2. Then you will start feeling your value questioned. In addition unless your in a solid guild that is willing to bring you to NC or have some friends that cannot get a 2nd DC. You might get lucky.
BTW PvE content doesn't even get real until T2 dungeons prior to that it is mostly a joke. With 1 exception.. Mad Dragon

Can you do all content? Sure if you find a group willing to carry you... Will you likely do all the content? Nope... At least in the current state of things.
Its also worth bearing in mind that people are stating their opinions based on the current percieved performance of classes. Everything is subject to change and rebalancing even after the release of an MMO, let alone in a beta testing period where iterations are designed to play around with things like this.
On the plus side, as a guardian you will get practically instant queues, since you are the rarest class and the queue finder tries to match every group with one.

While I do agree and have faith in what you say...
PWE has said nothing on the subject. They have not even posted a suggested plan. There is talk of a PTS but that is not out yet either. Even if they do fix GF, and I honestly do not know what they can do other than fix the skills or do a rewrite completely. They are locked into 4e rule set so we are kinda screwed in some ways.
Not to mention they are plagued by broken boss mechanics... meaning throwing more adds at a party than they can possibly handle by any other realistic means other than kiting or other questionable tactics.

As far as instant queue... that is correct and a good bonus... Though once you get into T2. You honestly will not want to queue anymore... The queue system is horribly broken atm and the GS system is broken. You will do it a couple time then rage then do as everyone else spam the chat channels for a more 'organized' group.
