Do you have to pay real money to get a mount?

Do you have to pay real money to get a mount? I'm talking the only mount that matters with 110% speed. 2.8 mil astral diamonds seems like a ridiculous astronomical amount to pay to get a mount up to 110%. What other options are there? I'm tired of unbalanced PvP situations where the other team gets a massive advantage just because a couple people paid $60.

    Getting 2.8 mil Astral Diamonds once you're level 60 wont be that hard :)

    Epic Dungeons = Epic loot, meaning you will be able to sell the loot you get on the Auction house and quickly get the AD you need in order to buy a mount.

    Without using the Auction House, it will "only" take 117 days farming 24000 Astral Diamonds per day. That is roughly 1/3 of the year. I don't know what you are complaining about, seems totally fair to me!

    it is easy to farm ad on 60+ active tr,cw and dc have over 20m+ already ,and u can get 3k zen mount for 1m or so atm or u can just buy lockbox mount for 1.5m or less

    dont waste money on the lockbox mount, it's not account wide.

    Pretty much, I haven't touched my AD from my founders pack and only 10.00 bucks worth of Zen, I'm tooling around on a Nightmare inferno and have a twilight Inferno waiting for my Ranger when that class is released.

    Exchange AD to Zen and buy an account-wide mount with zen :P

    Also it doesn't give you much of an advantage in PvP. If you suck, you'll still suck with your 110% mount.

    themasterreal1 could always go play other games where the cost of getting anything meaningful end game especially for heavy dungeon runs in time is about 13-16 months like it is in GW2. That's always fun, you know the grind+RNG and then they have the RNG+RNG+RNG system for loot that's fantastic too.

    Point is could be worse. Much worse.

    Which ones are the account wide mounts? How can you tell?

    all u buy from z store are account wide,so 1,2m atm is cheapest 3k z mount

    There were epic mounts up on the AH for ~1 mil before the downtime. Or you could go pay $30 for one.
    Use the <removed exploit lead-in> to interact with the auction vendor.

    No, 5 gold gets you a basic mount.

    No you do not have to pay real money to get a fast mount; you can either purchase them with Astral Diamonds or using the AD exchange to get the Zen to purchase them.
