Ever since the patch, the bug where one or two members of the party get left out in Protector's Enclave or whatever their previous zone has been occurring with greater frequency. I just tried to join 10 games or so with a friend, duo queueing, and one or both of us had this bug every single time.
We tried relogging to fix it. We tried exiting the game and relaunching entirely, which fixed the problem in the past. This time, however, no dice.
This is extremely frustrating when you queue with a group of friends, though it doesn't seem to happen as much when you solo queue.
About AFKers:
The recent patch hasn't done anything about the AFK problem, sadly. People just move their mouse around or walk a few steps inside of the spawn to avert from being kicked out, and the fact that you can't get a replacement player after like 1 minute into the game still leaves your team at a serious disadvantage.
My suggestion:
Take a page from SWTOR's book when it comes to AFKers in PvP. If they don't leave the spawn area after 30 seconds or so, they should be auto-kicked. Issue a warning to them over system notices or whatever you feel is necessary, but this would at least force them to run out consistently as opposed to just moving around every few minutes to keep from getting booted.
And allow replacements while the game is still in progress. This might rankle some people, sure, but even if they get thrown into losing games, they'll still get some glory out of it. There needs to be a longer cut off for this at the very least.
