Transferring AD from Personal Balance to Exchange

I want to transfer my personal AD to the exchange balance so I can use on it my other characters. I already have a few AD already in the exchange balance and I want to add more to it from my personal balance. I tried to put it on the market for the 1 Zen to 50 AD ratio but the funny thing is, it uses the AD in my exchange already to fund the exchange, not the ones in my personal wallet. So in effect, when I cancel the exchange, it puts it back in the exchange balance with my personal balance not even touched.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Does this method only work with you have 0 AD in your exchange balance?

I wish Cryptic would go ahead and create a DEPOSIT button on the exchange so we can deposit AD and Zen too.
