Election night magic: How vote is counted so fast and winners projected
While we appreciate the science to show how votes are counted we spellcasters
vigorously object on the term of "magic!" The years of supernatural training, or innate honing our natural skills for us wizards or sorcerers respectively (let alone the many other types who use magic,) are a long and dedicated process few of us achieve in the entire populous. To suggest not even hedge wizards but...
reporters access the mystical arts in such manners is insulting to a group that only recently could finally stop running from mobs of townspeople with lit torches.
We at the S.P.E.L.L. (Spellcasters Promising Equal Life Litigation ) group demand an immediate retraction and apology for the misuse of this sensitive "magic" word used with pride even in the darker years.
We appreciate the populace for listening to our response and know empowered actions will prevent further difficulties in the future and a greater harmony between magic and non-magic using members of our productive society as a whole. Thank you.
[OOC and thank you in the US no matter who you voted for!]
