What is the dev's standing on the DnD Prestige classes? Esspecially the pack that was added to the original neverwinter?
I for one would pay for just a visual effect of a few of my favorite advanced classes or a prestige skill, What is the dev's thoughts on this? The DND world may have it's foundation in the traditional classes, but the dnd world has more classes and prestige classes that you could shake a stick or an entire tree at.

I'm guessing you mean Paragon Paths?
I can't remember which convention or which interview it was, but I recall Andy saying there would be several basic classes at launch and in the future there would be more classes available. I certainly hope there are either lots of Paragon Paths or in absence of that (since we do know the progression has been spread out to 60 levels, which changes things) some ways to customize and specialize characters. It's unfortunate all this kind of information is still under wraps, but I suspect that's because all of it is under heavy threat of sudden change.
Prestige classes do not exist in 4e, so they are unlikely to be present in Neverwinter.
Paragon paths may be. These are generally class or race specific. They're less of a 'replacement class' and more like an add-on to your current class(es). You level as you normally do, but at key levels you get extra powers or special abilities related to the Paragon Path.
4e has a TON of classes, each with different flavors. By limiting the start of the game to the base four, it really doesn't showcase the strength of the system. I really hope that the devs realize how much an injustice they are doing the game by starting it out like every other fantasy Free-to-Play MMO out there in class selection.

Unless they have a sudden change of heart (very unlikely), Paragon Path are pretty much already confirmed. (which are basically the 4th edition version of prestige classes, with the exception that they are mandatory)
Look into the gameplay videos with the guardian fighter, if you pause when the character tab is open, you will see written somewhere in the character menu "Iron Vanguard", that's a paragon path for the fighter class.
I'll try looking for it again, I don't remember the exact link of the video, because I saw it weeks ago.

klangeddin, if you find that link, I'd really love to see it. I'm very curious about the character sheet.

That's cool. I didn't even know Paths had been confirmed. Nice to know.
The third image, look down it says Level 39 Guardian Fighter Iron Vanguard.
One funny thing i found in those screenshots is that at lvl 39 that character only have 1 green item, ofc that was just a demo but still curious about it :P
And yes in 4th edition theres no prestige classes, insted we have heroic tier, paragon tier and epic tier, we know paragon tier will be there but i doubt about epic tier.

I'd love to see the specialty priest classes that the individual Realms' gods are so fond of having. Indeed!

Epic tier has not been confirmed or denied yet, but I believe that they will launch it at much later part of game.
