DUMMY ITEM Enchantment Shards

With today's patch, old enchantment shards are now listed as DUMMY ITEMS in the auction house. Is this WAI? The patch notes mentioned updating old enchantment tool tips as unequipable and ancient, but didn't mention the shards.
