I spent a lot of time, real money and a lot of effort, consternation to earn my rank 14 enchantments. Built my character around those enchantment abilities only to have Mod 22 come along and trash everything I worked so hard for in this game. I hate it. Just to have Weapon and Armor Enchantments to be traded into a worthless cosmetic illusion. This is really insulting. There is nothing in this Mod I think can fairly compensate for the sweat, long hours and hard work (and real money - e.g. buying Zen for Coalwards) that was put into refining those Weapon and Armor Enchantments and those abilities. This is absolute bovine excrement.
But I think Cryptic can do a few things to ease the adjustment
As far as I can tell ALL your enchantments are gone, useless. Yes, you can trade your enchantments for currency to "buy" "enhancement rank choice" packs from the trade vendor, but guess what, you're back to grinding them to upgrade those new enhancement stones and you will need the new Coalwards" which are not free of course. So are they better? No, not in the color rank. All your legendary enchantments like dark, radiant, azure, etc the highest you can trade them for is uncommon blue rank. You will have to grind or refine it back to legendary (orange), which means 2 coalwards times 9 enhancement slots. Yes, they can eventually be better, now that they can get refined to mythic (cyan) but that's another 9 coalwards to upgrade them all to mythic. And the weapon and armor enchantment, is a whole another story.

I don't think you understand the changes. When you first log into the test server for Mod 22 your IL is increased, and you think "hey I'm set." But, that higher IL is actually from temporary enHANCEment stones with an IL of 1200 each. They have a 6 day timer on them and when they expire I suspect they just go "poof" and that cushy IL you got at first is gone. What you're left with is trading your R10 or higher for tokens, the most being 60 tokens. 60 Tokens can buy you 1 "Enchantment Rank 2 Choice Pack." You end up picking up a BLUE enHANCEment stone, because that is all they offer you, having an IL of only 600, half of what you have with those temps. So, later you end up grinding through ranking those BLUE stones to purple and then to orange just to get that IL you had at the start of mod 22. This is a bait and switch and is very deceptive of Cryptic to do, because it gives the impression that the mod is good just so folks can be more agreeable to it, when actually its very poor once those enHANCEment stones expire, forcing you to face ranking up your BLUE enHANCEment stones with more grinding, time and in most cases money.
If anything, we should be expressing that they nerfed the enchants into the ground back when combat rework happened, now we're trading 3 of our rank 15s and having to upgrade them for what we had before that nerf, simply because they claim that's fair.
The -least- they could've done is make it 1-1 rank 15 to rank 2 trade. Customizing your companion doesn't exist anymore- no more tanks running with off/def to cap def stats while keeping 60% damage worth of indoms. This change removes choices, makes us re-pay for things we had and will eventually invalidate our builds, again, due to them already saying new enchants would come out later.
I don't see this change as being so negative, they no longer require you to pay to remove them as you change out your armor and equipment. From what I have witnessed the new enchantments are equal to the former.
If you are talking about the removal of some older enchantments, such as thunderhead or lightning, I might agree with you about those. However everyone is talking about stats, I don't see them removing any stats or nerfing what you have at this point. This is still early in the preview, they could end up nerfing the stats before they launch.
I think the reason behind this change is to save the players from popping enchants on and off old to new gear, which I assume means new gear is on its way. It is like an ice cream vendor telling you they upgraded, fewer flavors but you no longer need to pay extra for the cones.
It is just another one of these modules, where they are making big changes, and not really telling the community the reasons.
And it’s back to augments for everyone! Hate having to learn a game all over again and regrind the same meh rewards. And I know some will spout “then don’t play”. Many won’t and your game will die. People used their rank 9 enchants to “do” things, like soul forge raising without scrolls and bark shield proccing gear. Which I don’t know if that enchant is still in the game, making that T3 gear useless. We have rank 9 because we are leveling and can’t visa our way to the top. Thanks for the useless remarks and dismissing our concerns. But it’s all shouts in the wind. Devs only listen to the 1% who thinks everything is too easy and we are showered with gold.
The casual is gone from the game. I spent time and too much money and I’ll be back to square one AGAIN. Doing this again, especially now is not fun.
Worst timing and rollout. The plebs are gonning to be really hurt, folks just got a handle on the last change and low level guilds are no longer going to be able to progress.
it is not proposed it is set in stone and most feedback is to late anyways only private preview players could have influenced and they did not bother

Main concern is being able to the same content as easily as before. ALL previous combat changes were a big fatty NOPE. So my expectations are low. I don’t have everything, in my Alliance of close to 1000 people I can’t say less than 10 have more than one stat at 90 or are above 60k. I know this because I own multiple guilds and we train folks and take players through content.
This is not the outlier, this is the norm. We can’t just buy our way back. We had a go fund me so a player who lost his job could keep his internet. Change is good, but so far it’s ALWAYS been 1 step forward and 3 back.
With your exchange to get back to 0 it’s a deficit of 120 medallions and 320$ in coal wards if they remain the same.
