Stalwart Golden Lion stealing damage from other dps

I've noticed a lot of people using the lion companion and after some testing, the damage done by me is registered as 0 and the damage that was supposed to of been done was given the to summoner of the companion. I'm not too sure if this was intentional or not but, band of air damage and other attacks show up in the summoner's log and not the person attacking. A video was posted of a lion user doing close to 25 million damage without attacking once.
