Some gear claiming I already have kits on them

Some gear, for me its been goristo's helm and Ribcage, are not accepting armor kits. When using any type of armor kit a red message comes up claiming it already has a kit of the same type equipped.
Same issue happened to Laserius, a friend, where it didn't allow him to place kits on Goristo helm, overwhelmed ring, condemned ring or the waist part of the neverwinter's standard set.
