Guild majority Vote - or vote by Gamertag

If you want to leave an Alliance then all rank7s have to vote for leave.
It now happened that one of our guild leaders passed away and still has many rank 7s in the guild.

We demote bit by bit every rank7 in the game but it needs alot of time.
What could be done is:

Majority Vote: If the majority of players vote to leave Alliance then it get left. All decitions should be majority.
Even better would be if it gets changed to: not chars needs to vote - bute gamertags.

I've always thought it weird that they did it by characters and not accounts.

Well.. all you have to do is wait 30 days so..

Then a Rank 6 can take the Leader position and you can go from there.
