Bloodletter power in Harvester

Well, I can say for sure that there is a problem with my Bloodletter power when I go into this event. At least I think it is only in Harvester. When I start dying over and over very quickly I make sure I look at the combat logs. Of course I am using this power quite often as it heals me (I don't use the feat Bloodspiller as I don't want to use a heal that might kill me). Looking at the logs I cannot see Bloodletter doing damage nor healing for the entire fight. Seems to work fine on combat dummies but not too well in Harvester at times. Is there some kind of mob that is casting a super uber spell that prevents me from using Bloodletter?
