Some areas still have SUPER-MINIONS after this morning's patch

Mt. Hotenow is now more difficult than Whispering Caverns, for example.

The "one-dot" Kobold Hurlers in Neverdeath Graveyard do about double the damage and have double the durability of the "two-dot" Cult Mercenaries they hang out with. The Kobold Hurlers in the Nest Egg sewer quest are probably still bugged, too.

I just finished Mt Hotenow and I can say with 100% the fire elementals archer damage is really a problem.

After this morning's patch, the Mt Hotenow area is still very much out of whack. I'm not exaggerating, check it out for yourselves. The minions there are unreasonable, and much harder to deal with than mobs in Whispering Caverns, which is supposedly a harder area.

Oh good. I'm not the only one being slaughtered outright by little baby mobs. As a Fighter just taking on a group of Ashen Miners? Its god aweful. Generally burn through a potion or two just to handle one mob. But in a first few seconds? My stamina is all burned up from the sheer big boi damage these mobs and others are hurling at downrange. I mean I might be DPS specced but I should be able to survive that, right? Seriously tempted to just skip the area and grind a few levels out through Dungeons.

yes - skip the area if you can :) do a few random dungeons and gain lvl for the next zone :) hf

I've noticed that in some of the Underdark HEs in other zones, the first set of enemies are harder than the ones that follow them. I experienced this in Dwarven Valley.

I took a look at some of the characters in this thread, and noticed that some of you were below the Item Level of the critters in the zone, which is the reason for this difficulty spike.

Gearing up your character further would be the best course of action for now to advance in the zones.

Where does one see the item level for critters in a zone? Admittedly I was mostly decked out in Bounty gear since it was a the best I could get my hands on.
