Battle worn metal rod

Ok I have been doing insurgencies from the beginning and still Battle worn metal rod didn't drop I get it that is rng but doing it so many times getting even the achievement of 100 insurgencies a long time ago and still it haven drop That is so wrong. Anyone have the same problem?

    I finally got mine last night! You HAVE to be involved in killing the boss for it to drop! I've done hundreds of insugencies and finally got it. My DC, got it on his FIRST boss fight!

    I know that you need to be involved to kill the boss but I have no luck.
