'Fiendish Findings/Devil's Hold Vault' quest design issue

I'm in Vallenhas, doing "Fiendish Findings" weekly. This is the second time I've died on the stage of that quest, "Escape the Area", where you have to fight your way back out of the shield vault after you get the fiendish artifact with Etrien.
The issue is that if you die on that final combat, you rez back at the campfire at the beginning of the instance. The doors to re-enter the instance, which I opened at the start of the quest, are now closed and I can't get back in to finish the quest. I have to abandon and re-start the quest. I can see faint sparkles where I first interacted with the door to open it to get in, but there's no trigger to open the doors again.
Yes, fine. The easy answer is "Then don't die..."
