The following is a copy of my support ticket when I asked about the files. I don't seem to know how to post the image I uploaded for this ticket if that would be useful to developers or anyone else reading this. As support tickets add new replies at the top of the page, if you want to read the ticket in order you'll need to scroll to the bottom of this post and work your way to the top again:

    Someone said it comes from looking sled mounts. I removed about 6 or 7 of those log files a few days ago. One was over a gig and the rest were 600 megs and up. I also have an alt that recently started using a sled mount so it is possible that is the the source of the bug.

    Are the files useful for the player in any way though? Why would they be stored by default on a player's computer?
